“I know it’s a hat. What kind of straight guy would wear a hat with rabbit ears?” Panda said with a shrug. “Can’t appreciate it, right, Chief?”

The corners of Feng Nai’s lips lifted as his hands fiddled with the car keys. “Indeed, can’t appreciate it.”

Mo Bei glanced over without much emotion.

Panda then seemed to realize something. His eyes suddenly widened. “You guys went to the supermarket together?”

It wasn’t odd that he was surprised. Chief had always been too lazy to head out, so he usually ordered delivery.

Why had he gone to the supermarket today?

Didn’t he find it annoying?

Chief unexpectedly merely made a languid “mm” sound in response to his question.

Never mind, it was not the right time to think about these details now.

Panda had not forgotten why he had rushed back!

“Chief, who exactly is SweetDisciple? How did you manage to find him in real life?”

As she listened to every question, Mo Bei’s slender fingers, which had been sorting the vegetables, stopped.

Feng Nai threw back the same response again. “Why should I tell you?”

“Chief, do you know what it’s like to really want to know something? This will affect my condition while I’m gaming!” Panda said in all seriousness.

Feng Nai sneered. “If you let it affect you, you’ll clean the bathroom for half a year.”

Panda became spiritless instantly. “Chief, what would it take for you to tell me?”

“I have no intention of telling you for now.” Feng Nai pulled open his jacket. After hanging it on the rack, he sat down on the sofa and bit into his second pineapple bun.

Panda’s eyes, which had initially dimmed, lit up again. “Chief! Why did you buy this? Are there more?”

“No,” Feng Nai replied nonchalantly.

Mo Bei did not expose his lie.

Panda did not take his word for it anyway. “There must be more.”

Upon seeing that he was about to pull at the plastic bags, Feng Nai reached out and hooked an arm around his neck. “If you want some, go buy them yourself.”

Mo Bei’s gaze was cool as she watched.
