Chapter 62: Returning Home

After a good night's sleep, Ren Baqian returned to his bedroom in China once again.

"When will this end." Ren Baqian rubbed his face between his palms and immediately sat up on his bed.

The flow of time was different in both worlds. Basically, travelling back and forth would require twelve to thirteen days and travelling to and fro three times took up more than a month.

Ren Baqian felt that only ten days had passed, but in actual fact, one month had already lapsed.

Thus, the variation in the climate made him felt that it was a particularly abrupt change.

He stood in front of the window and went into a daze. Ren Baqian was thinking, how good it would be if he could get the profits from the black mud cream business as early as possible. Once again, Ren Baqian was in a daze. He turned on his phone which had been perpetually turned off for the past few days and saw that there were a few messages indicating that there were missed calls.

There were two missed calls from Chen Qing, one from Dong Haiqing, and one from Chen Bing as well. There was also a missed call from home.

He dialed the number for home, and when it just got through, he heard someone going on and on, "You still know how to call home? I called you previously, but your phone is always turned off. You weren't contactable at all. If you still did not return my call, I would have reported to the police that you are missing…"

Ren Baqian kept the phone away from his ear, and after a long time, the other party finally stopped ranting. He then spoke, "Recently, it's busier over at the company and I have to work overtime every day. I didn't even notice that my phone went out of battery. I finally finished my tasks and immediately called you to pay my respects."

"You passed your days in foolishness? Don't you even know the date?"

"Oh, I have been too busy recently and never really noticed the date. I will set off now and reach there by noon," Ren Baqian promptly replied.

"That's the way, come home soon."

After he hung up the call, Ren Baqian took a deep breath. He felt that only a few days had passed but two months had already gone by.

Ren Baqian felt aggrieved at his situation. He wondered when all this would come to an end.

However, Ren Baqian thought about it again. If he really teleported back to the other world and never returned to Earth, he wondered how devastated would his family be. Now, he felt that the current situation was not considered too bad after all.

After thinking for quite some time, Ren Baqian decided not to return Chen Qing's call. He went to wash up, changed into a new set of clothes, and drove home.

Ren Baqian's hometown was approximately three hundred kilometers away from his current house. At noon, he finally arrived at the neighborhood which his house was located at.

Looking at this familiar yet little shabby neighborhood, Ren Baqian felt unrestrained for no reason. This was the feeling of home.

"Brother, brother!" Ren Baqian raised his head as he heard someone yelling. He saw his younger brother waving at him from the window in his house.

A smile exuded from Ren Baqian's face. He locked the car, went upstairs, and pressed the doorbell.

"Is the Audi below yours?" Ren Baqian's father asked immediately when he opened the door.

"Your eyesight is really good." Ren Baqian gave him a thumbs up.

"You don't say. Not like you didn't know that I'm farsighted." Ren Baqian's father slapped his forehead. "Pass me the keys, I will bring it for a ride."

Ren Baqian grinned and threw the keys over to his father. He knew that his father had always been interested in cars. However, after all, he still had to raise two children and was only even able to afford a second-hand Alto with difficulty. Thus, he couldn't avoid being extremely excited upon seeing Ren Baqian's Audi.

"Look at how you are behaving, they are all cars, what's the difference in driving them." Ren Baqian mother's voice trailed from the kitchen.

Ren Baqian's father completely ignored her, took the keys from Ren Baqian, and dashed out excitedly.

"Brother, is there any gift for me?" After his father left, Ren Baqian's brother surrounded him.

"Thank you brother." Ren Wannian immediately grinned from ear to ear.

Ren Baqian placed his stuff down and went into the kitchen. He took a glimpse and noticed that it was all his favorite dishes. It seemed like they were all cooked just a moment ago.

He assumed that his mother took the whole morning to prepare the dishes and was waiting for him to return before cooking them. She was worried that he would not be able to eat piping hot dishes.

"Since you are back just stay at one side, don't be a hindrance over here." One sentence from Ren Baqian's mum immediately killed the warmth that he felt a moment ago. He rubbed his nose and went to sit on the sofa.

"Brother, what does your company deal with?" Ren Wannian gathered at Ren Baqian's side and asked.

"Medicine."

"Medicine? Since when did you know anything about that?" Ren Wannian asked curiously.

"Your brother is very knowledgeable." Ren Baqian was full of pride.
