Xi Xue explained his weakness without worrying the girl would use it against him. Listening to the man's explanation, Bng Huo felt her heart turn warm.

Xi Xue's jaw dropped to the floor. He gaped in disbelief. The man hurriedly turned around to see the girl sit on his bed.

'She...can threaten me now? But she was so scared I might kill her before?'

The man felt an electrical sensation flowing through his veins. His blood was boiling and his heart throbbed. It was a painful yet sweet feeling.

"Uh, you are so bold now." Xi Xue awkwardly laughed as he approached his bed. "I remember just yesterday you were screaming and crying, begging me not to kill you." Xi Xue sat on the edge of his bed.

He looked at Bng Huo with a mocking smile. "How come you change your attitude so fast?"

'I know she's a brave girl but to think she can threaten a vampire now. She's either foolish or just...cute.'

Bng Huo suddenly didn't want to struggle. She just zipped her mouth and closed her eyes, allowing the guy to hug her.

"...you are too kind. You don't need to be liked by a human like me." Bng Huo sighed and patted Xi Xue's head resting on her shoulder.

'Maybe he's lonely and thus wants to be friends with a human? But of course, humans will run away once they know he is a sacred beast.'

The thought led to Bng Huo imagining Xi Xue's lonely back. Under the moonlight, the vampire wandered aimlessly, not having someone by his side.
