"I know what you want to say." Long Ao Zhen exhaled as he threw his gaze to the blue sky. His golden robe was dancing in the air blown by the mild breeze.

His long dark green hair fluttered, covering the man's face hindering Mao Mao to see his expression clearly.

"If your majesty knows then" Mao Mao inhaled sharply as the sound of his knuckle cracking sounded at the balcony.

Long Ao Zhen didn't turn around and just stared at the cloud. The middle-aged man paused for a bit before speaking.

"You want me to annul your engagement, right?" Long Ao Zhen tapped the balcony railings and added, "I want to know the reason."

He had intended to humiliate the Tian Family by using this engagement issue but he didn't think Mao Mao really opposed the engagement.

No one could see Long Ao Zhen's golden eyes were sparkling in curiosity just like a little kid.

Being asked like that, Mao Mao scratched his neck and muttered, "That...I have someone I love"

The young man's face slowly turned red as he said his piece.

Long Ao Zhen's ears perked up. The man had a smirk on his face as he continued the question, "Oho, so you're in love."

The man still didn't turn around. He just raised one of his eyebrows, "Who is this lucky girl?" Long Ao Zhen raised his tone of voice, clearly sounded curious to death.

Sensing the teasing inside Long Ao Zhen's way of asking, Mao Mao's body shook. His ears turned red as he clenched his fist tightly.

"Do I have to answer?" The young man tried to reason.

He didn't want to involve Fen Wn but sooner or later people would know that she's the one he liked.

It's just that...this emperor was a bit nasty contrary to his tyranny image in front of others.

'I don't know what this old man is trying to do!' Mao Mao gawked at Long Ao Zhen's back as he waited for the emperor to answer.

Knowing Mao Mao was reluctant to spill the bean, Long Ao Zhen shrugged casually, "I have to know her name as if you two got engaged or got married, I'll be the one giving the blessing."

Long Ao Zhen abruptly turned around while crossing his arm in front of his chest. "Right?" The man tugged his lips up showing a sly smile, sending a shiver down Mao Mao's spine.

'This old fox is enjoying this!!' Mao Mao's face turned even redder than before. He quickly lowered his head and coughed to ease his embarrassment.

"Fine, fine. Her name is Fen Wn. The empress dowager's personal maidservant." Mao Mao bit his lips, "She's now working for me."

A light flashed through Long Ao Zhen's eyes as the guy squinted.

"A maidservant huh...the Fn family" Long Ao Zhen rubbed his chin while trying to recall any information he knew about the Fn family.

That family wasn't a high-ranked family but since they were close to the empress dowager, they were quite respected.

"Not bad." Long Ao Zhen nodded, giving his consent to Mao Mao.

If a girl from a family which was close to his mother got married to Mao Mao...that didn't sound bad.

Mao Mao gasped. "Really?" He couldn't hide his expression as his mouth hanging wide. The young man could only blink fast trying to see if Long Ao Zhen was lying or not.

"Well, why not? You're already an adult, you can choose your partner as you wish." Long Ao Zhen shrugged. "I won't hold you back. Just be responsible for your choice."

Long Ao Zhen put on a serious face but deep inside he was smiling from ear to ear.

'Mao Mao finally found someone he could spend the rest of his life with.' Long Ao Zhen sighed in relief.

He had always thought of Mao Mao as his closest aide especially after Li Shi Ying left. This panda was the only beast closest to Li Shi Ying that was still alive.

How could he didn't like this panda? As time went by, he even started to treat this boy as his own brother.

"I'm happy for you. Really." Long Ao Zhen approached Mao Mao and patted this shoulder. "I'll annul the engagement now, don't worry about the Tian Family rage."

Long Ao Zhen winked. "I'll handle them."

His last words almost made Mao Mao hugged the man a head taller than him.

With teary eyes, Mao Mao spoke, "I...I don't know what your majesty is going to do about the engagement but" the young man paused. "Can you not harm lady Tian?"

"She already gives up on the engagement and just hopes she can find a good marriage partner." Mao Mao scratched his cheek as he pleaded in a hoarse voice.

This was the only thing he could do for Tian Rong who supported his relationship with Fen Wn.

He knew that once Long Ao Zhen moved, the Tian Family would be finished. That would include Tian Rong if Long Ao Zhen didn't do anything to save her.

Hearing this, Long Ao Zhen nodded, "Okay, I'll give leeway for the innocent daughter."

The one who was corrupted wasn't the daughter but the father and the adults anyway. He would always spare the youngsters in exchange for them working for the nation earnestly.

Reassured, Mao Mao shut his eyes and put his hand on his chest.

Now he had annulled the engagement...he had to tell Fen Wn!
