The thought calmed Mao Mao and the young man sipped his tea looking composed. He had just sorted his mind when suddenly, a servant came with an announcement in his hand.

"Greeting, your highness, " the servant bowed to the prince of the Phoenix kingdom as he's the host of the banquet.

"Raise. What's your business?" The prince squinted his eyes as he crossed his legs, looking domineering.

"This servant got an urgent announcement from his majesty the emperor of Long Kingdom, " The servant glanced at Mao Mao before he lowered his head.

"Announcement? Go ahead then." The prince nodded, allowing the servant to read the announcement out loud.

"This servant will read the announcement now" The servant raised and opened the scroll he was holding. He scanned the guests and coughed slightly before speaking in a loud voice.

"Congratulation to his excellency Xiong Mao for his engagement with Lady Tian from the Tian family. May your engagement be blessed with happiness."

The servant's words just fell when the prince of the Phoneix kingdom clapped, "That's a joyous occasion! How about we let them open the banquet officially?"

The prince had been told by his father about this beforehand. As the Long Kingdom was the one issuing this union, their representative should be the one opening the banquet with a dance.

The girl was blushing as she stood up and put her hand on Mao Mao's palm.

"My pleasure, " Tian Rong followed Mao Mao to the centre of the hall as she kept a smile on her face.

'I have to find the right time to apologize and tell him' The girl thought as she put her hand on Mao Mao's shoulder.
