Xia Meilin continued staring at him as he stroked her lips with his thumb. She was patiently waiting for him to tell her what was in his mind but instead of getting a word from him, he leaned in and placed his lips on hers.

"I love you, Meilin." Lu Yifeng whispered in his kiss.

The side of her lips curled up because of what he said. She closed her eyes and touched his cheek as she kissed him back. "Yifeng..."

Lu Yifeng deepened the kiss, kissing her passionately that when Xia Meilin pulled away, she ended up panting. He didn't stop there though, he went on top of her and moved his kisses on her neck. He pulled her hospital dress up and touched her soft skin.

He pushed his knee between her leg and continued placing kisses on her body.

Xia Meilin couldn't help but moan when she felt his warm touch. With a thrust, he ground his member against her opening through the fabric. Noticing what he was trying to do, she shranked back, panting. She placed her hands on his arms to try to stop him. "Lu Yifeng, you're distracting me!"

"Am I?" He asked with a smile. He leaned to kiss her but she covered his mouth with her hand.

"We're at the hospital!"

He held her wrist and pulled her hand away. Instead, he placed her hand on his nape. "Don't worry, no one will disturb us in this time of the night."

She glared at him, her face was red in embarrassment. "Y-You're crazy!"

"Crazy for you." Lu Yifeng's moves were so gentle, so gentle that he was afraid to hurt her. The soft bed swayed as they moved passionately.

The room was filled with an ambiguous atmosphere because of their heated moment.

Lu Yifeng held her close after their intimate moment. She found a comfortable spot in his arms and closed her eyes.

He pulled the blanket on top of her before placing a kiss on her head.

With her eyes closed, Xia Meilin placed her hand on his eyes to close them. "I can't sleep if you'll keep on staring at me."

He moved her hand away. "Then I guess, we will have to go for another round."

"I'm tired." She huffs. She turned to look at him before she placed her hand over his eyes again. "Sleep, okay?"

This time, Lu Yifeng didn't move her hand away. With his eyes closed, his arms were wrapped firmly around her waist. "When I wake up... will you still be here?"

Her eyes softened at his question. Was he afraid that she might disappear from his hold if he sleeps? Is that why he won't dare try to sleep? This guy... he was more sensitive than she actually thought.

"Yes, I'll be here when you wake up," she whispered softly.

With those words, Lu Yifeng immediately fell asleep and breathed evenly.

Xia Meilin gently moved her hand away from his face and watched him sleep. Seeing how fast he had fallen asleep, she knew that he must really be tired.

She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes to sleep.

Xia Meilin was released from the hospital the following day. She was brought back to their home and the one who greeted her first was Little Melon.

"Welcome back, momma!" Little Melon hugged his mother close as if he really missed her. "Next time, bring Mello to work! Mello missed momma a lot!"

Xia Meilin's heart was instantly warmed up when she hugged Little Melon in her arms. "I missed you too, sweetie."

"Xiao Gua, your mother is tired so don't be naughty to her, okay?" Lu Yifeng said as he patted his son's head.

"Mello is always behaving, dada!"

Xia Meilin chuckled at this. She turned to the servants that lined up to greet them by the entrance of the mansion. She noticed someone missing. "Where's uncle Dong Hua?"

Lu Yifeng's eyes darkened when he heard her question. Instead of answering her, he led her in. "You should get some rest."

"Let's go, young master. It's time to feed Timmy." Mo Jing said before she took Little Melon away.

Xia Meilin felt uneasy with the way Lu Yifeng reacted. "Lu Yifeng?"

When they entered their room, Lu Yifeng faced her. "Being punished."

With those simple words, Xia Meilin glared at him. "It's not his fault."

"It is. If not for him, you wouldn't have been taken away." His eyes became cold when he answered her.

"It's not his fault that Bai Xiu Ying was smarter than him! Lu Yifeng, wherever uncle Dong Hua is, get him out!" Xia Meilin glared at him.

Dong Hua was being punished by being beaten up and locked up in the basement prison.

Lu Yifeng stared at his wife's angry face. "He needs to be taught a lesson."

"Do you really want to go on with this and continue to make me mad, Mr. Lu?!" She gritted her teeth as she clenched her fists.

He sighed in defeat. He doesn't want his wife to get angry at him. Lu Yifeng went and tried to hold her but she pushed him away.

"He's my personal bodyguard! I decide what happens to him!" She growled.

Even if her actions started to irritate him, Lu Yifeng tried to keep a cool head for his wife. "I am the one who assigned him for you."

"Uncle Dong Hua is a good person and he doesn't have to be punished just because an enemy outsmarted him!" She stomped her feet on the ground.

Lu Yifeng sighed heavily. He pulled his phone out and messaged someone to release Dong Hua. He showed the message to her after he sent it. "There."

Xia Meilin still wouldn't believe him since he could have just sent it to anyone, "Photo."

Lu Yifeng asked for a photo of Dong Hua being released. After a little while, he received the message.

It was a photo of a wounded Dong Hua on the bed.

Xia Meilin was feeling sorry for her bodyguard when she saw his condition. "Make sure to let the doctor treat his wounds, okay?"

Lu Yifeng sent another message to his men to allow a doctor to treat Dong Hua's wounds. After that, he kept his phone and took a step closer to his wife.

Xia Meilin turned away from him and walked towards the cabinet to get a new set of clean clothes. She was ignoring her husband.

"Are you still mad?" Lu Yifeng looked like a child who has been ignored.

Xia Meilin didn't give him an answer. She went in the bathroom and locked the door.

After a while, she went out in her home clothes. Although, the moment she took a step out of the bathroom, she was pulled into a hug by Lu Yifeng. He was waiting outside of the bathroom the whole time, like a dog waiting for his owner to return home.

Xia Meilin sighed in defeat. She patted his back. "Next time, don't punish my servants without my permission, okay?"

"Mm." His wife's words were the law in his house. She was his boss and he will do anything to please his boss wife.
