Seeing that she was still as a rock in his arms, a smirk appeared on his lips. He leaned and captured her lips.

Xia Meilin was surprised at this. Because of the sudden kiss, she quickly pushed him away. "Lu Yifeng! You are not allowed to take advantage of a sleeping person!"

He chuckled at this, "Hm, I don't see a sleeping person anywhere."

Her lips turned into a thin line as she realized that she was caught by him.

"Were you waiting for me?" He tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear.

"I wasn't. I couldn't sleep." She sighed. "I ended up sleeping too much in your office this afternoon that I can't sleep right now."

"You're not tired?"

She gently shook her head before she snuggled against him. "How can I be tired? All I did today was to sit around your office and sleep."

"We can do something about it." His hand started rubbing her back.

Xia Meilin grabbed his arm and made him stop. She looked at him with a glare. "I already told you about this earlier, Yifeng."

"Our son wants a sibling." He moved his hand and cupped her cheek.

She sighed. He was using their son again. "Not right now. We will give him one in the future. We will... do it in the future."

"Then... after an hour?"

Xia Meilin wanted to hit him when she heard this from him. "Next year!"

"That's too long, darling. Why are you so stingy with your body? If you don't want another baby yet, then that's okay. Just allow me to refine my baby making technique with you."

"That's it!" She sat up. Her face was red in embarrassment. "It's a mistake to share a room with you!"

She was about to get out of the bed but Lu Yifeng stopped her and pulled her back in his arms.

"Let go of me!" She tried to push him away but he was too strong for her.

He buried his face on her neck. "Don't leave. I'll behave."

She stopped and looked at him. She chuckled inwardly at this adorable gesture he made. Xia Meilin wasn't really mad, she just wanted him to stop with his advances.

"Are you free next Sunday?" Xia Meilin asked as she decided to talk about something else.

"No. I have to go to Italy." He leaned back and looked at her. "Why do you ask?"

Her eyes darkened at this. She wrapped her slender fingers around his neck and tried choking him. "You dare schedule something else on that day?! It's our son's birthday! BIRTHDAY! You're going to make him cry!"

Lu Yifeng held her hands and removed it from his neck. Was she trying to kill him just now? "It's Xiao Gua's birthday?"

"Yes! You have to attend no matter what. This will be the first birthday where he will be celebrating it with you." She sighed heavily. "Can't you reschedule it some other day? I know it is selfish for me to ask you a request like this... but it's for our son."

Lu Yifeng smiled. "It's okay. Don't worry, I will do something about it. I won't miss his birthday."

She stared at his face, "Promise?"

"Promise." He leans and pecked her lips. "Let's go to sleep now."

Xia Meilin smiled and hugged him. "Okay." She closed her eyes and tried to sleep.

She would have never thought that being in his arms made her feel safe and secure. The warmth of his body made her feel comfy and this helped her fall asleep.

Meanwhile, Lu Yifeng was thinking about what to do for Little Melon's birthday. He has almost forgotten about it. So he's turning four soon...

As days passed, Little Melon's birthday was approaching. Lu Yifeng decided to fly to Italy earlier than scheduled because of Little Melon's birthday on Sunday.

"I have heard the sample music that you've sent me and it's really perfect for my album! I'm happy that you were able to get the sound that I want."

Xia Meilin chuckled. "I'm delighted to hear that. I will leave the lyrics to you, Mr. Xiong. But if you need any help with it, I am willing to help you."

Little Melon was staring at his mother since she was talking with a man on her phone. He was pouting and giving her a judging look.

Xia Meilin was already used with this that's why she always tries to keep the call as short as possible.

"Would it be alright if I ask you to join my music video? I'm looking for someone that can play the female role. I think that you're perfect for the role I have in mind." Xiong Fan asked.

"Well... I would like to know what the music video is all about before I'll accept that offer."

"I see. I will send you the details about it next week, once it's final. For now, I will have to focus on writing the lyrics for these songs." He chuckled.

"If there's nothing else, I'll end the call now. Goodbye, Mr. Xiong." When the call ended, she kept her phone.

Little Melon turned away and continued on looking at his picture books with a pout. He was sulking because his mother never listens to him. "When is dada coming home?"

"He'll be coming back on Saturday night." She smiled. "Don't worry, he promised that he'll attend your birthday."

"Okay." After that, he became quiet as he focused his attention on the picture book.

They were both in the living room, doing their own things. It was until a lively voice was heard.

"Sister-in-law~ Little Mello! Look who has come to visit!"

When they turned their heads, they saw Lu Xian Yu by the living room's entrance.

Little Melon grinned upon seeing him. He quickly stood up and run towards him. "Uncle Xian Yu!"

Lu Xian Yu scooped him up and grinned back at his nephew. "I've got surprised for you! Guess what?"

"Are they new books?!" Little Melon asked excitedly, his eyes sparkling.

"Books? They're boring. I have something better than that." He chuckled. "You'll have to wait until your birthday tho."

The smile on Little Melon's face instantly disappeared. He pushed Lu Xian Yu's face away. "Uncle is a meanie! Why not give the gift to Mello now?"

"Because it's not yet your birthday." He laughed. He placed Little Melon down before he turned to Xia Meilin.

"So, what are you doing here, brother Xian Yu?" Xia Meilin asked as she rested her chin on her palm. "You obviously didn't come here just to visit, right?"

"Ah. My sister-in-law is sharp." He smiled. "I actually came here to ask something about your brother."

She blinked a few times. She straightened her back and asked, "My brother? What about my brother?"

"How long was he dating Li Bingbing?"
