She avoided his gaze, her heart was beating fast. She realized that he was actually standing close to her and seeing that he was shirtless, she became nervous. "I... I'm sorry."

"It's fine. If you want to look for something, tell me. I don't have anything to hide from you anyway." He went to sit on the side of the bed.

She was embarrassed. She looked like a bad person trying to rob a good man.

When she took a glance at him, she saw him holding an ointment for his wound. He was applying it on his wounds but there were parts where he couldn't reach and see.

Feeling sorry for him, she went and stood in front of him. "Let me help you."

Her offer surprised him a bit but nonetheless, it brightens his face. He didn't argue with her and instead, he handed her the ointment.

She started applying the ointment on the wounds where he couldn't reach. Seeing no reaction from him as she gently applied the ointment made her wonder how high his pain tolerance was.

"Doesn't it hurt?" She was curious to know his answer.

"It's okay, I can still tolerate it." He said with a calm tone on his voice, his eyes closed. Feeling her soft touch on his body ignited the fire inside him.

She raised an eyebrow. He can tolerate it?

A small, playful smirk crept up on her lips. She placed a little pressure when she applied the ointment on the wound that was on his shoulder.

This made him flinch. He opened his eyes and looked at her darkly. "Now it really hurts."

For some reason, she didn't get scared when he looked at her that way. Why was it? Is it because the other half of herself was convinced that he was actually a good man?

"Oh, sorry."

He didn't say anything anymore. When he turned his head, he ended up staring at her chest since she was bending in front of him.
