Ren Shiyuan was smiling at her, he stood up as he waited for her response. "Nian Jiezhen, please marry me."

Nian Jiezhen scanned the bar and there were so many people waiting for a reply. It even made her more nervous when she saw the phone cameras facing them.

Nian Jiezhen turned to Ren Shiyuan and her lips were stretched out into a thin line, without giving him an answer, she leaned and hugged him.

Everyone started clapping and cheering for the two while the hearts of the fans that were there got broke. They were happy for their idol but they couldn't help but get hurt because of the fact that their idol won't be single anymore.

Xia Meilin couldn't help but grin when she saw this, "I won."

"Not yet." Lu Yifeng smirked. At first, he thought that it was a sure win for his wife but now that it was actually a marriage proposal, the tables have turned.

"What do you mean not yet? Look, Ren Shiyuan is putting on the ring on her finger..." Xia Meilin trailed off when she noticed how stiff Nian Jiezhen's smile was.

After they were congratulated, Ren Shiyuan and Nian Jiezhen went back to their table.

"Shiyuan, can we talk in private?" Nian Jiezhen didn't sit with them, she was just standing there.

Since Ren Shiyuan was full of happiness at that moment, he didn't notice the changes in Nian Jiezhen's face. "Sure, sure, let's go."

It made it hard for Nian Jiezhen to tell him how she really feels because of the way he looked at her but nonetheless, it was now or never for her.

After Ren Shiyuan and Nian Jiezhen left, Xia Meilin's face turned upside down. "No way..."

Lu Yifeng leaned and kissed her cheek, "Looks like I'm still going to be on top."

"Why? Why would she turn him down?" Xia Meilin asked as she turned to Lu Yifeng. It was understandable why Nian Jiezhen didn't reject him in front of others.

If Ren Shiyuan was a normal person, she might have already done it but since Ren Shiyuan was a famous man, not wanting to ruin him, she can only reject him in private.

"She values her work more than everything, Nian Jiezhen doesn't want to be tied down by being a married woman. The last thing she ever wanted was to get married."

Xia Meilin sighed, "She's so devoted to her work. Although for me, I think there's nothing wrong with it... After getting married, Ren Shiyuan would definitely ask for children next and when that happens, she won't be able to focus much on her work anymore."

He stroked her hair gently, "Do you want to go home now?"

She shook her head, "Why don't you go in front and sing me a song too?" She grinned at him.

He raised a brow at her sudden request.

"I lose this bet so the winner has to sing something for the loser." She pressed her body against his arm. "Come on, Yifeng, sing for me, I want to hear my husband's singing voice."

Lu Yifeng couldn't help but sigh in defeat whenever his wife acted this way, "What song do you want me to sing?"

"Mm..." She paused as she tried thinking of a song, "How about a song that you'll sing only for me?"

His lips curled up as a trace of helplessness was seen in his eyes. "You're giving me a hard time, do you know that?"

"That's for winning the bet against me, " she chuckled softly as she trailed her finger on his chest. "I'll have to get something in return even if I lose."

He caught her wrist and brought her hand to his lips, "I will sing for you but not here."

She blinked a few times, "Eh? Why?"

"My singing voice is only for you to hear." He leaned and placed a soft kiss in the crook of her neck.

She blushed lightly as she pursed her lips. Well if that was the case, Xia Meilin didn't want others to hear his voice since he was treating her this special. "Fine, you'll sing me a song once we get home, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am." After planting another kiss on her cheek, he stood up and offered his hand to her, "Let's go."

Xia Meilin smiled at him as she reached out and held his hand.

When they went out of the bar, they saw Ren Shiyuan standing alone with his head hanging low. He was staring at the object on his palm, it was the ring that he gave Nian Jiezhen earlier.

He was like that for a short while before he kept the ring in his pocket. He started heading towards his car with a blank look on his face.
