"Didn't you say that you can give me a whole volleyball team back then?" He chuckled in amusement as he entered the bathroom and placed her down.

"I was just kidding back then." She crossed her arms and pouted.

He smiled. "I know, I don't want to impregnate you again." After he witnessed Xia Meilin giving birth to their daughters and seeing how much pain she went through, he wouldn't allow such thing to happen again. "How about you go for a tubal ligation?"

"I did say I don't want to get pregnant yet but that doesn't mean that I don't want one in the future." She crossed her arms.

"We already have three children, they're enough for us. Let's not add more, okay?" He tried to convince her. He honestly didn't want her to go through the pain of giving birth. It was already hard for him to control himself from beating the doctors up for not doing anything to reduce his wife's pain. What if he suddenly went out of control this time? It was not just the doctor's lives that would be destroyed, the whole hospital might go down with them too!

Xia Meilin couldn't help but sigh when she saw the complicated look on Lu Yifeng's face. "Let me think about it, okay? For now, let's go with pills."

His eyes softened. Even if he was hearing it a few times from her already, he still couldn't believe that he has finally won her heart.

Noticing that something was in his mind, Xia Meilin couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"

"I am supposed to be the one protecting you."

She chuckled lightly, "Well, I'm not the one in trouble right now, right? Besides, as your wife, it's my job to have your back. Let's just say that our love is like a game of chess... He laughed lightly after hearing what she said, although her words lightened up the burden he was feeling. She never fails to surprise him with her words and because of it, he couldn't help but fall deeper for her.

He touched her cheek and captured her lips, kissing her deeply and passionately.

Because of the warm water of the shower that flowing down on their bodies, the heat inside them grew.
