Chapter 478: All Home-Grown and Natural

“Are you planning to have some sort of battle royale in here?” Illusion Fang Yu muttered as Bai Huangdi went behind Huo Huangdi and Veronica stood beside Jieshu. “Because that’s the situation that I can envision with what I see right now.”

“Battle royale? Well that is our last resort…” Wang Hao said as he let out a sigh.

Wang Hao then started to give the living followers a melancholic look as he crossed his arms. He seemed to be slightly sympathetic to the living followers as he said,

“You three, you are all thinking that just because we are in a war situation, that we just have to fight?”

“Well, what else can we do?” Bai Huangdi replied. “The way our Kingdoms were positioned only leaves war as the most obvious way to win.”

“Well, you may be right, but doing such thing seems to be so cliché.” Wang Hao said as he glanced at Huo Huangdi.

Wang Hao’s voice sounded as if he was joking as he asked Huo Huangdi,

“Flame boy, you know what happened at the last Final Trial right? And what happened in that final trial is way different from the one right now, right?”

“Yes, I have watched that.” Huo Huangdi nodded. “The way that the current Yama Successor also won in that trial is really masterful.”

“And from that final trial, you should have realized that following the basic premises won’t work, right?” Wang Hao smugly said, much to the others’ dissatisfaction.

“Yes, I have seen that too.” Huo Huangdi muttered with a scowl.

The final trial that Genie had participated in also had a basic premise where they have to get something for their kingdom.

But since Genie was a weird thinker, she decided to think outside of the box, which led her to do some questionable things that led her to victory.

Hearing Huo Huangdi’s admission that what they are doing now is right just made Bai Huangdi and Veronica deflate more.

“So, there will be no fighting then?” Illusion Fang Yu asked Wang Hao hopefully.

“Well, if everything goes perfectly, then there will be no fighting.” Wang Hao cautiously replied.

“Perfectly? Now that just sounds ominous to me…” Illusion Fang Yu muttered as she let out a sigh.

“So, what will we do now? Will we just show our heirlooms here, and let someone gather it all up?”

“Well, I have a better proposition than that.” Wang Hao said as he gazed at the direction of the room where Fang Lin was at.

He caressed his fancy throne as he said,

“Instead of all the heirlooms being held by one of us, why not let a native in this place hold it?”

“What?” Even if Fang Yu had the inkling now on what Wang Hao was about to do, she still has to act doubtful, in order for Wang Hao to explain himself better. “Why would you want a person other than us to hold the heirlooms?”

“Because I feel that there is something weird about the planet that we are in right now.” Wang Hao said as he began to excitedly tap his throne.

“Can you imagine that a place like this, that does not support any cultivation, is actually allowing us to stay here? Not only that, but these Heirlooms, which are not supposed to be in this planet, are actually found here! Isn’t that fascinating?”

“Well, this planet may be just special because it is the location of the Final Trial.” Illusion Fang Yu muttered crossly.

“Nope, I think it is the other way around.” Wang Hao said he sent a leering gaze to Illusion Fang Yu.

Wang Hao then rubbed his imaginary beard as he said,

“This planet is the location of the Final Trial, because it is special!”

“!!!!!”

Basically what Wang Hao was saying is that this planet is extremely special, so special that it has been used as one of the locations of the Final Trial.

And from the looks of it, Huo Huangdi and Jieshu have the same idea as Wang Hao, as they did not bother to refute him.

“Oh, so you are telling me that besides recruiting the next Yama Successor, the Final Trial has another goal?” Illusion Fang Yu said as he could not stop her thoughts from spilling out. “And that goal is…”

“To get something or someone from this planet.” Wang Hao concluded with a flourish. “I think that there are some restrictions which prevents the Yama or any strong beings from the Underworld to obtain the special part of his planet.”

“So because of that restrictions, Yama designed the Final Trial, which will have conditions that will allow us, the participants, to obtain the special part of this planet.” Huo Huangdi interjected as his feet tapped impatiently against the floor.

“And since we are all curious cats, we decided to see the special object that the Yama wants.” Wang Hao said as he showed off his heirloom.

What Wang Hao held was an exact copy of the Golden Gourd, although its color was entirely black. This seems to be the Ebony Gourd, that he used against the soldiers earlier.

“Ok, I get where you are getting here.” Illusion Fang Yu muttered as she raised her hands in surrender. “But why would you want a native of this planet to get hold of the 6 Heirlooms? Will something special happen?”

“That is what we are thinking too.” Jieshu suddenly said as she sat on a chair. “Since the special object was a part of this planet, then maybe only a native that is holding all the 6 Heirlooms can access it.”

“Besides, we are not stupid enough to just let a Demon King or a Hero hold all the heirlooms right now.” Jieshu scornfully said.

“But what if nothing happens when a native holds all the artifacts? What will we do next?” Illusion Fang Yu pressed on, as she tried to make sense of Wang Hao’s plan.

“If nothing happens, then one of us will have to hold all the Heirlooms.” Huo Huangdi said as he licked his lips in excitement.

“As for how that one person can hold all the Heirlooms, of course it will be decided through some special things…”

Now that everyone has heard of the real plan, they started to relax as they only have to wait and see some results right now.

“Since we are all here already, then we can start the first phase of the plan. Guards, call them in…” Wang Hao said as he placed his Ebony Gourd on the table.

Minutes later, and the doors of the Throne Room opened, and three guards came spilling in, and they are bringing Fang Lin and the Great General with them.

Wang Hao then gave these two an interested look as he said,

“Since we have these two natives here, then we can just start the first phase with them…”

“Hmm, at least these mortals have some use now.” Bai Huangdi said as he gave Fang Lin and the Great General an indifferent glance. “So what will the arrangement be?”

“Well, maybe that guy first.” Wang Hao said as he pointed to the Great General. “If nothing happens with him, then that guy will be the next.” Wang Hao concluded as he pointed next to Fang Lin.

The Great General, who seemed to be spooked with what was happening, managed to find his voice as he said,

“What are you all going to do with me?”

“Oh do not worry…” Wang Hao devilishly smiled as he caressed his Ebony Gourd. “We will just let you hoard some stuff. You will not explode or suffer some horrible death. Actually, I am not sure about the last part…”
