Chapter 469: Elephant

The first thing that Fang Lin saw when he arrived at the Evil Axis Continent was the lack of any fertile resources around him.

It was as if the land was sucked dry of nutrition, that even weeds could not take root on the soil.

“This is the reason why the Evil Axis Continent wanted to invade the Alliance Continent.” The Great General said as he noticed the astonishment on Fang Lin’s face.

“The quality of nature here in the Evil Axis Continent was so bad that the amount of food crops that they can plant is extremely limited.”

“Yeah, I can see that with my eyes, you know…” Veronica muttered as she watched the soldiers rushing with their very lives. “Are you really on board with this attack?”

“Well, even if I am not happy with it, what can I do?” The Great General said with a helpless smile on his face. “There is no way that I can just fight against the decision of the Hero…”

“Hmph, now I understand why you need the help of the Heroes just for you to win!” Veronica said, with venom laced in her words.

“You really are talkative, aren’t you Veronica?” Illusion Fang Yu muttered as she flew behind Veronica. “You are fine wasting your time on useless banter like this instead of just directly helping them…”

“Are you accusing me of being a freeloader, huh?” Veronica’s eyes flared as she glared at Illusion Fang Yu. “You really have the guts to say that, when even all you do is just watch!”

“Sigh…” Fang Lin let out an audible sigh as he saw that the two was about to get it on with each other again.

But before the two could really express their anger, they suddenly saw something in front of them that made them stop.

“Oh my, that is really large.” Veronica muttered, looking at the towering object in front of her. Illusion Fang Yu seemed to be in agreement, as she could only look up to fully see the object.

The object that they were talking about was a gigantic elephant, who stood around 1 kilometer tall.

Its massive body was entirely black in color, with even its tusk glinting with a black glow.

The Great General, who saw this elephant towering above them let out a curse as he muttered,

“So the Demon King Seigneur had unleashed the power of his heirloom on us!”

“What do you mean by that?” Illusion Fang Yu asked as she tilted her head, as if she was oblivious of the danger. “The Demonic Kingdoms have their own heirlooms too?”

“Exactly.” The Great General replied in affirmation as he commanded the troops to stay in place.

“Just like the Alliance Continent, the Demonic Kingdoms have their own heirlooms too, and these heirlooms are actually mirroring each other.”

“Mirroring?” This time, it was Fang Lin who interrupted the conversation. “You mean, its like the heirlooms between the two continents are similar to each other?”

“That’s right.” The Great General replied as he gave an intense gaze to Illusion Fang Yu.

He then looked back at the black elephant as he said,

“One example that I can give you is that of the Golden Gourd of the Golden River Kingdom. Its equivalent here in the Evil Axis Continent is the Black Gourd of the Ebony River Kingdom. And no, not only the names are the similar ones. Even the power of these two gourds are almost similar too.”

“Hold on.” Illusion Fang Yu said as she raised her hands. “So you are telling me that if my Golden Gourd has the power to summon a Golden Guardian Beast, then the Black Gourd of the Ebony River Demonic Kingdom can summon a Black Guardian Beast?”

“Well, can’t you see this elephant in front of you right now?” The Great General let out a hollow laugh as he looked at the elephant in front of him.

“This elephant is a Black Guardian Beast, and from the way that it looked, its most probably the Black Guardian Beast of Demon King Seigneur!”

The only thing that Fang Lin could think after he heard what the Great General said was,

“Holy hell, that is one big elephant that you have, Wang Hao!”

As he stared at the gigantic elephant in front of him, Fang Lin started to compare it with the frail-looking Old Meng, which made him extremely confused.

“How come what I got was just an old woman, while the one that Wang Hao got was a big-ass elephant?” Fang Lin then shook his head as he realized that there is no way for him to complain now.

“Maybe Wang Hao found a way to make his Black Guardian Beast stronger… After all, he had been here for one year already… Yes, that is the perfect reason…” Fang Lin thought to himself as he let out a deep breath.

But while Fang Lin looked calm, the soldiers around him certainly are not calm, with them seeing this huge elephant in front of them.

And their fears just multiplied when the black elephant let out a loud roar as it raised its foot.

Its foot, which can stomp a city flat, started to descend towards the hapless soldiers.

Sounds of panic could be heard as the soldiers could only watch as the foot plunged down on them.

“The elephant is attacking us!”
