Chapter 401: Hospitality or Hostility?

Wang Hao’s expression was unfathomable as he looked at the looming Immortals above him.

Thea and Wu Meng both looked at Wang Hao worriedly as they realized that even now, Wang Hao is still not making his move.

“What is his problem?” Wu Meng thought to herself as she saw the way that Wang Hao acted. “Is there really something that was preventing him from doing something?”

Wu Meng knew with her instincts that if Wang Hao did his absolute best, none of the Immortals present would do anything to him.

Of course Wu Meng was not sure how Wang Hao could achieve that but she could sense that if it is Wang Hao, then that kind of thing could be possible.

Thea had the same thoughts as Wu Meng, and she was more worried compared to Wu Meng.

After all, Thea had been with Wang Hao longer compared to Wu Meng, so Thea can recognize when there is something weird or different with Wang Hao.

“Wang Hao…” Thea muttered as she approached Wang Hao worriedly. “Are you really fine?”

Thea knew that there was something bugging Wang Hao right now, and it’s definitely not the Immortals above them.

There was something else that was bothering Wang Hao, and if Thea could not identify that something, then all three of them will be captured here by the Immortals.

“Well, it was like this…” Wang Hao’s eyes flashed as he sent his divine sense straight into the minds of both Wu Meng and Thea.

Both Thea and Wu Meng slightly reeled from the information that Wang Hao gave them. After all, they could not expect that Wang Hao actually had this bizarre reason!

According to what Wang Hao said in his divine sense, he had 6 mortal body clones and one Avatar Stone Body in his possession.(See chapter 188 and 189 for details.)

He uses these 7 types of body as his ‘spare body’

The 6 mortal bodies are weak bodies, and it was something that Wang Hao was using for emergencies, in case his body gets destroyed. As long as his soul survives the body’s destruction, he can just possess one of the 6 mortal bodies, and he is back to normal.

As for the Avatar Stone Body, it was something that Wang Hao obtained after he got the Portal Rings.

The Avatar Stone Body was also an extra body like the 6 mortal bodies, but the Avatar Stone Body was a stronger type of extra body.

It is extremely sturdy, and it can regenerate from any type of damage. One can say that the Avatar Stone Body was the perfect type of extra body.

According to Wang Hao, he was using the Avatar Stone Body as his main body right now, as he already abandoned his original weak body.

So how is this related to Wang Hao being unable to take action? The answer for that was actually just simple.

It was because of a certain person residing in the Portal Ring.

“Little Bai!” This name flashed across Thea’s mind as Wang Hao told her in his divine sense message that the Portal Ring has a treasure spirit residing inside it, and the name of that treasure spirit was Little Bai!

According to Wang Hao, owning the Portal Rings gives Wang Hao a restriction.

That restriction was that he has to accomplish the missions given by Little Bai in whatever way it is possible.

If Wang Hao fails to accomplish that mission, then he will lose his ownership of the Portal Ring.

Failing to accomplish as mission will also mean that Wang Hao will lose possession of the Avatar Stone Body, which will leave Wang Hao back to his soul state.

After feeling the wonderful sensation of having his body made up of Avatar Stone, Wang Hao obviously would not want to lose the Avatar Stone Body.

Just the thought of using the weak 6 mortal bodies makes Wang Hao extremely despondent.

So if Wang Hao wants to keep his current Avatar Stone Body, then he has to follow all the missions that Little Bai gives him!

“So….” What is the mission that that Little Bai gave to you?” Wu Meng asked back with her divine sense. “Was it something related for today?”

“Yes…” Wang Hao replied as he gave a glare to the Portal Ring. “Little Bai gave me a mission where I should not use any of my abilities to defend myself if there are anyone who tries to attack me. This mission will last for 3 hours. He gave me this mission 30 minutes ago, just as Merlin and Shou Nanren arrived. That means that there is still 2 hours and 30 minutes remaining before that mission ends.”

“What a harsh brat!” Thea muttered as she glared at the Portal Ring. “Now I am not jealous of you obtaining a treasure like that.”

Wu Meng narrowed her eyes, realizing that what Wang Hao said was true.

30 minutes earlier, Merlin and Shou Nanren showed up and wanted to kill Wang Hao and Jorm.

Now that she remembers it, Wu Meng realized that Wang Hao did not use any of his abilities at that time to fight either Shou Nanren and Merlin.

Wang Hao just used Jorm to kill Shou Nanren, which effectively scared Merlin into running away.

“So that is why you did not fight earlier….” Thea muttered, reaching the same realization that Wu Meng had. “But why did that Little Bai give you that mission? It’s like he wants you to die!”

“I do not know either…” Wang Hao replied helplessly as he shook the Portal Ring vigorously.

“If I do not accomplish this mission, I will lose my ownership of the Portal Ring and this great body. But if I accomplish this mission, I will receive a reward. And Little Bai told me that this reward will assist me on helping Fang Lin!”

“Are you telling me that Fang Lin is in trouble right now?” Thea asked as she gave Wang Hao a silent stare. “Is your disciple in danger?”

Wang Hao slightly winced after he heard Thea mentioning the word disciple. He then gave Thea a nod as he said,

“I can feel it with my instincts. Fang Lin is about to face the greatest danger in his life, so I and Old Man decided to help him out. As much as possible, I and Old Man wants to help Fang Lin against this impending danger!”

“So you just have to stay still here and do nothing, and you will get something later that will help you assist Fang Lin.” Thea stated monotonously. “It sounds simple, but… you do know that if you do not use your abilities right now, Wu Meng, Jorm, and I might die.”

Wu Meng gave a nod to Wang Hao after hearing this, while Jorm gave Wang Hao a peeved look, as if he was slightly angry to him too.

“Hey, hey, hey, do not worry, I have something in my sleeves here that can save us.” Wang Hao confidently replied as he stood up and went outside the house. “Just watch and see.”

Both Thea and Wu Meng gave Wang Hao incredulous looks as they watched him leave the house.

They heard his footsteps, which did not sound agitated at all, even under the enormous pressure that he is facing right now.

“Ladies and gentlemen.” Wang Hao coolly said as he gave a bow in front of the befuddle Immortals in front of him. “Do you really want to kill me?”

“Heh, if that is what we need to do to take back what is ours, then we will do it!” The official arguing with Wang Hao earlier replied. “Why? Have you been scared s**t about what you saw right now? Hahahaha! Pleading won’t do anything to save you now!”

“Shut up vermin.” Wang Hao replied venomously, ignoring all the words that the official said.

“Wha- wh- what?” Wang Hao ignored the sputtering noises that the official made as turned his head and looked directly at the Immortals above him.

“By now, you should have known that I… am not a native of this planet. You should also have known by this point that I have a powerful background and I am only here for some reasons obscure and unknown to you. But even after knowing all that, you all still wanted to oppose me? Are you really sure you can do that? Are you aware of the possible consequences that will happen if you go on fighting me? Are you really ready?”

Wang Hao’s words managed to pause the heavy momentum that the Immortals gave out earlier. Even the official arguing with Wang Hao was also rendered silent by what Wang Hao said

“…..”

Both sides then plunged into a state of absolute silence as they both ruminated on their situation.

For the Immortals, they badly wanted to fight Wang Hao right now, but the threat of his unknown background and the possible consequences of fighting him made them extremely hesitant.

As for Wang Hao, he was only silent as he only wanted to make the Immortals, just like Merlin earlier, to be too scared to make a move.

Both Thea and Wu Meng were silent too as they watched at the ongoing situation with bated breaths.

By this point, Tang Li already had her fill, and she was smiling contentedly as she slept soundly on Fang Yu’s lap.

Both Andromeda and Genie looked at the sleeping Tang Li with warm eyes, as the sight of an adorable 8 year-child sleeping peacefully on a lap of a beautiful woman was a heartwarming view indeed.

“Hey, stop staring at me like that.” Fang Yu muttered angrily as she looked at Andromeda and Genie. “Did you even find what you were looking for?”

“Yeah well… we managed to find some things, and we were able to make something decent that maybe could help us later.” Thea replied nonchalantly while Genie gave a fervent nod. She then looked at Fang Yu as she said,

“How about you Fang Yu? Are you already prepared?”

“Hmph, of course I am!” Fang Yu replied as she puffed out her chest. “I gained a lot from my session earlier, and I am sure that I am stronger now compared to earlier!”

What Fang Yu said was no bluff.

Right now, Fang Yu’s condition has reached the peak state, and her current power is the strongest level she had right now!

First of all, she managed to create the Ice-Fire Nascent Soul, something that increased her spiritual strength and made her battle prowess rise up!

Then, Fang Yu have successfully made all of her 13 Heaven Grade Cores complete the Tempering Major Realm!

The completion of the Tempering Major Realm gave Fang Yu’s cores the chance to evolve.

Now that more than an hour had passed by, all of Fang Yu’s cores have completed their evolution, which transformed them once more!

Not only that, but this evolution granted Fang Yu one new special ability, which just increased her already numerous abilities!

“Hehehe, how strong could I be now? Hmm… I will just use Solomon as my test dummy.” Fang Yu muttered as she looked outside the ship.

There, she saw an extremely large cave looming above them.

The inside if the cave was so dark that Fang Yu could not see what was inside it.

But she could feel that an extremely massive figure was inside the cave, and it is waiting for her.

“So, we have arrived at Solomon’s lair already.” Fang Yu slowly said as killing intent appeared in her eyes. She gripped her fists tightly as she said,

“Since you had the courtesy of inviting us, then we will happily accept your invitation!”
