Chapter 183: Come Back!

“Of course!”

As soon as he was called, the shop assistant stepped forward almost immediately and proceeded with the preparations to wrap everything up.

Cheng Yan, who had entered the fold per Yao Tang’s instructions, easily moved even closer to her.

“You’re okay, right?” He held her hand. “What happened? Why are the security guards here?”

She simply shook her head in response.

“It’s just a small scuffle, sir. Please don’t worry. Our security guards have been trained from the best of the best, and we will protect all of our Diamond Holders,” the uniformed man explained.

As they were speaking, the shop assistant had already completed all the packing. “Thank you for shopping with us,” he said, handing them the goods.

“Thank you.” Grabbing the bag, Yao Tang and Cheng Yanstrolled to the supermarket just adjacent to the store to buy some snacks. This time, he stood right by her side to ensure that no one else got in the way.

Luckily, they didn’t get into any trouble after that.

In the living room of the Yao Family Mansion, everyone was silent.

Yao Yuan was lounging on the sofa, unbothered by the two new arrivals. He didn’t even notice the way their faces had darkened at the sight of him.

The mother-and-daughter pairing shared a glance. Not only had they embarrassed themselves, but they had dragged the family name with them. How were they going to tell that to him?

“You’re back.” Yao Yuan finally placed his book back on the coffee table and glanced up.

However, when he saw that they were empty-handed, he pursed his lips.

“What happened? I thought you were off to Tian Run Mall to buy a present for the Qin Family? It’s for their eldest daughter, correct?”

“I was supposed to!” Qin Man scowled. “But that Yao Tangbrat got in the way again! We’ve come across her at Tian Run Mall, and I tried my best to persuade her to return home, but she had me kicked out! She pulled out this strange card and ordered the guards to drag me out if I didn’t.”

“It’s so embarrassing, Dad!” Yao Ran sniffled, bowing her head.

Qin Man’s voice was practically crackling with anger as she chucked her bag onto the sofa. She crossed her arms over her chest.

“I am her mother. Does she really think I want to harm her?”

“Hell, she doesn’t even know what’s good for her!” Qin Man’s face darkened even more. “Is this what it’s like to have hooligans to raise you up? The only reason she ever got here was because of the thousands of men she had slept with.”

Qin Man spoke one sentence after the other, and her jaw clenched as the events flashed in her mind.

Despite all her complaints, something in her story made Yao Yuan purse his lips.

“She pulled out a card? What card membership does she have?”

There was a hint of anticipation in his words.

Yao Yuan didn’t look angry by the exchange. Instead, he even looked…determined? Yao Ran’s heart skipped a beat. She was just about to pull her mother back, only to have her respond,

“It was a card with diamonds on it. I think I heard the security guard say something about her being a Diamond Cardholder.”

Her voice was as clear as day, but it felt like lightning had struck inside the household. Yao Yuan staggered backward, and he inhaled sharply.

Within a few seconds, he hurriedly grabbed onto his wife’s wrist. “You heard him clearly?” he quickly said. “You’re saying that she’s a Black Gold Diamond Card Member? You’re sure about that?”

“Ah…yes.” Despite her agreement, Yao Yuan still glanced at his daughter for affirmation.

Yao Ran hesitated for a bit before nodding. “It’s a black and diamond-encrusted card,” she said. “As soon as the security guards had seen it, they immediately ran over to stand by Yao Tang.”

Interesting. A dark light flashed in his eyes.

If Yao Tang was really the holder of such a legendary card, then it would surely do so much more than that. Not only would it grant him the prestige he needed, but also shoot his career prospects to the sky!

His gaze became much more determined.

“Continue to persuade Yao Tang to return,” he ordered. “This time, instead of taking her by force, have her come back willingly.”
