Chapter 4

Rescue

Shi Man glanced at the hand on her shoulder.

In the next second, the arm of the scar-faced man was twisted 180 degrees with a crack. A pig-like howl instantly resounded throughout the factory.

“My arm!”

Shi Man threw his arm away and wiped her hand on the hospital gown with a look of disdain.

“Brother, are you alright?” The two burly men beside him hurriedly helped the scar-faced man up.

His face was covered in sweat, and his arm hung limply by his side. It was obviously dislocated.

“Damn it, kill her!” the scar-faced man shouted fiercely.

Shi Man was expressionless. She looked at the three of them coldly, as if she was already looking at three dead people.

Under the girl’s cold gaze, the men suddenly felt afraid. On second thought, she was just a young lady. They were clearly the stronger party. Why did she look at them like they were disgusting trash and sewer rats?

“F*ck your mom. I’ll kill you.” They didn’t want to meet Shi Man’s eyes again and rushed toward her.

Shi Man did not even look at them. The next thirty seconds were the most unforgettable moment of their lives.

A young lady had beaten them up in all aspects. They couldn’t even get close enough to see her movements.

Their knees were shattered, and their palms felt like they were pierced by iron rods. Bolts of unbearable pain came one after another, sweeping through their entire bodies. They could only let the other party ravage them without being able to fight back.

After a while, the two burly men fainted on the ground.

Shi Man raised her hand to tuck her slightly messy hair behind her ear and walked towards Scarface, who had collapsed to the ground.

“Do you want to die?” Shi Man looked down at him with cold eyes, and there was no warmth in her voice.

“Please, please, please spare me, please spare me…” The scar-faced man trembled as he crawled to Shi Man’s feet and begged her desperately.

Shi Man rubbed the blood on the tip of her shoe on the scar-faced man’s shoulder and stepped on his shoulder blade.

“Ah…” The scar-faced man groaned in pain, but he didn’t dare crawl away.

“Get lost. Think carefully before you do anything in the future.” Shi Man kicked him away. “Stay away from those you are not supposed to touch.”

The scar-faced man scrambled out of the factory, while the other two burly men lay motionless on the ground as if they were dead.

Su Tang huddled in the corner as she watched the scene unfold.

She recognized her.

She was Shi Man, Yi Zheng’s fiancée, and the person who had been targeting her.

But why was she here?

Why… would she save her?

Shi Man patted the dust on her body from the fight and walked towards Su Tang, wanting to untie her.

Su Tang had just seen Shi Man’s fierce appearance. Seeing her reach out, she reflexively shrank back.

She had always thought that Shi Man was just a spoiled rich girl, but after this battle, her impression of Shi Man completely changed.

Previously, Shi Man might just torture her, but now, she might really kill her.

“You, what do you want…” Su Tang asked carefully.

Shi Man sighed. She had just saved Su Tang, but the latter had spoken to her using the same words she used on the hooligans. Forget it. Since she was only intending to clean up the Host’s mess, she didn’t expect to be thanked.

“Don’t move,” Shi Man said as she untied Su Tang.

Su Tang was a little dazed as she looked at Shi Man, who was seriously untying her.

The weather was still very hot. As Shi Man was a little anxious, sweat seeped out from the tip of her nose. Her thick eyelashes cast shadows under her eyes. Her pale lips were pursed tightly, and her face was straining.

Su Tang was very puzzled. Shi Man was the one who had asked someone to kidnap her. Why did she rush over to save her? Could it be an act? With this thought, she did not dare to lower her guard against Shi Man and immediately became vigilant again.

Shi Man did not have the time to care about what Su Tang was thinking. There was one more thing that had to be solved soon!

She had always been this single-minded. In the past, when she was in the organization, she had to do everything as quickly as possible. Once there was someone she deemed as worthy, she would always be good to that person.

Because of her personality, she became a top agent in the organization and was placed in an important position.

But because of this, she didn’t know the truth until she retired and was purged by the organization.

Her thoughts drifted away as she untied the rope.
