Interview

It was a book about ancient Roman history. The waiting process was boring, so Shi Man simply started reading with interest.

The receptionist standing at the side curled her lips in disdain, thinking that Shi Man was pretending.

After all, this was an English book. How could an uncultured fool like Shi Man, who only knew how to enjoy herself and think about men, understand it?

It didn’t take long for the door to the principal’s office to open.

“Miss Shi, this way please.”

Shi Man followed the secretary into the principal’s office. As soon as the door was closed, the room outside was filled with people.

“Is this Shi Man?”

“Please don’t pass the interview.” Almost all the form teachers in the academy came to take a look and expressed the same thought.

“How could she not pass? Don’t you know the status of the Shi family? Back then, Shi Man couldn’t blame anyone for not being able to pass the written test. It’s written there in black and white. If we don’t let her pass this interview, isn’t it obvious that we are disrespecting the Shi family?”

“Anyway, don’t let such a person enter Class S. Not everyone can enter Class S.” The form teacher of Class S was a capable woman.

“Don’t come to Class A either. Just throw her to Class F. Why do we need to feel conflicted?”

The form teacher of Class F was already a little unhappy that they had pulled him over. They relied on the fact that their students were outstanding and were always mean. Every time there were bad students, they would push them into his class. This caused the average score of their class to become lower and lower, becoming the so-called Class F.

When the teacher of Class B saw that the form teacher of Class F did not look too good, he hurriedly nudged the few teachers who spoke and asked them to restrain themselves. After all, they were all colleagues and should not make things too ugly.

In the principal’s office, Shi Man was introducing herself.

The commotion outside was too loud. With her hearing, she could make out everything clearly.

Class F? Interesting.

“Student Shi, I have some questions for you for the interview.” The principal of Cassel Academy was a very wise-looking old man. He wore a gold-rimmed chain monocle on his right eye and looked like a 19th-century British noble.

It was said that the principal of Cassel Academy was of a mixed-blood heritage. It was no wonder that the style of the academy was so European.

“Go ahead.” Shi Man nodded slightly and was polite.

“What do you make of the rumors about you?”

Shi Man did not expect the principal to be so straightforward.

The principal must have known about her style and rumors in advance. The reason why he asked this question was probably that the Shi family had already given Cassel Academy an offer that it could not refuse. Since he could not change the outcome, he wanted to see if Shi Man was really as the rumors said.

Shi Man looked into the principal’s eyes and said bluntly, “I don’t care about them.”

The principal raised his eyebrows and gestured for Shi Man to continue.

“We can’t chase the past; we can only look towards the future.”

Indeed, what had already happened was in the past. The current Shi Man could not change it, but anything that happened to this body in the future was under her control.

“A very philosophical thinking representative of the Eastern culture.” The principal nodded. “Then let’s start the rest of the interview process.”

After asking Shi Man some questions relating to professional specialization, the principal changed his opinion of Shi Man.

“Then one last question. Which class do you want to go to?”

With Shi Man’s potential, he could even arrange for her to go to Class S.

On the one hand, Shi Man did have this ability. He believed in his judgment of people. On the other hand, it could be considered as giving the Shi family respect. In the future, if there was anything in the academy requiring support, he could reach out to the Shi family.

Shi Man shrugged and relaxed her body slightly. She leaned back in her chair. She could actually not take this interview so seriously. Considering the strength of the Shi family, it was already certain that she would enter Cassel Academy.

However, she still tried her best. Showing her strength was also an ability, wasn’t it?

Now that her ability had been recognized, she had to start doing things she liked.

“Class F then,” Shi Man said briskly with a standard smile.
