Hearing the voice of the person outside the door, Shi Man raised her hand and locked the door. Without a word, she stepped back into the bathtub to take a bath.

Outside the door, Yi Zheng heard the commotion inside and shook his head in amusement. When his gaze met Shi Mu’s, who was poking his head out of the next room, his smiling eyes immediately turned cold and sharp.

“Who asked you to come up?” Shi Mu glared at him unhappily. His nostrils were slightly raised, looking like he did not take Yi Zheng seriously.

Yi Zheng naturally wouldn’t bicker with him. He turned to look at him elegantly. “Aunt Shen asked you to go downstairs for dinner.”

“Oh.” Hearing that it was his mother, Shi Mu shut his mouth resentfully, but his eyes were still staring at Yi Zheng warily. “I’ll bring my sister downstairs. You can leave first.”

“Alright, thank you.” Yi Zheng smiled meaningfully and turned to walk downstairs.

Shi Mu pursed his lips and walked out of the room. Just as he was about to knock on Shi Man’s door, he suddenly realized something and stomped his feet at Yi Zheng’s departing figure. He said angrily, “I’m bringing my own sister down. What do you mean by thanking me? What has it got to do with you?”

Before he could finish being exasperated, Shi Man suddenly opened the door and looked at him expressionlessly. “Brother, let’s go.”

“Oh, okay.” Shi Mu quickly stopped talking and followed Shi Man downstairs in embarrassment. He cursed Yi Zheng countless times in his heart.

At the dining table, Yi Zheng was taking the initiative to help Shen Xian prepare the dishes. Putting aside the fact that he did not like Shi Man in the past, Yi Zheng had always been a model junior in front of his elders.

After Shi Mu followed Shi Man and sat on the chair dispiritedly, he started to glare at Yi Zheng.

He did not believe that this fellow could continue pretending. He would keep staring at him and wait for him to expose himself!

“What are you looking at? Aren’t you going to help with some work?” Shen Xian’s upbringing was very strict. Usually, she would ask her sons to do as much as possible to prevent them from becoming lazy.

Other than Shi Man, her other brothers had more or less done a lot of housework at home.

Shi Mu nodded and went to the kitchen slowly. He took a plate from the servant and specially placed it in front of his sister. He coaxed her carefully, “Sister, you like this dish. You have to eat more later.”

Shen Xian watched in satisfaction as Shi Mu subconsciously took care of his sister. She couldn’t help but pat his shoulder and praise him, “Not bad, Xiao Mu. I think you’ve really grown up a lot now. You don’t only fool around like when you were young.”

Shi Mu immediately raised his head proudly and glanced at Yi Zheng disdainfully. “Of course. No matter what, I will dote on my sister and love her, unlike some people who only know what regret is now.”

Yi Zheng chuckled and sat at the dining table. He picked up the soaked handkerchief and handed it to Shi Man. “Wipe your hands first. We can eat soon.”

Shi Man glanced at him expressionlessly and suddenly smiled coldly, as if she wanted to see what else he had up his sleeve. She raised her hand and took his handkerchief. “Alright, I’ll listen to you.”

Shi Mu was so angry that his face turned green. He quickly placed the chopsticks in front of Shi Man and smiled dotingly. “Sister, eat first. Don’t worry about us.”

“Drink a bowl of ginger soup first, lest you catch a cold from the rain just now.” Yi Zheng took a bowl of steaming ginger soup from the servant and placed it in front of Shi Man. “I just instructed someone to make it and put some sugar cubes in it. It should be palatable. Drink some and don’t catch a cold.”

This was the first time Shi Man had observed Yi Zheng say so much in one go. She raised her eyebrows in curiosity. As he had wished, she picked up the soup bowl and finished the ginger soup. She handed the empty bowl back to him and said, “Alright, then?”

Yi Zheng picked up some fish with the serving chopsticks and carefully picked out the fish bones on it. After putting them in Shi Man’s plate, he narrowed his eyes and smiled. “Do you want some? What do you like to eat? I’ll pick it up for you.”

Shi Mu sat opposite him. His teeth were so sore that he wanted to throw Yi Zheng into the rain. He said sarcastically, “My sister has her own hands and knows how to pick up food. She doesn’t need you.”

Yi Zheng nodded in agreement. “I know, but I like to take care of her. Can’t I?”

“B*tch.” After Shi Mu cursed softly, he picked up a piece of fish with his chopsticks and stuffed it into his mouth, converting all his anger into an appetite. He gritted his teeth and chewed the fish in his mouth, but he was caught off guard and swallowed a small fish bone. He immediately put down his chopsticks in discomfort, covered his throat, and shouted, “I think I’m stuck!”

Shen Xian immediately walked to his side worriedly and asked the servant to pour a glass of hot water for him to drink.

After Shi Mu finished the entire glass of water, the fish bones were still stuck in place. He was in so much pain that his tears were about to flow, but because of Yi Zheng’s presence, he bit his lower lip and refused to show weakness.

Shi Yu also walked over anxiously and patted his back to think of a way for him. “Why don’t we go to the hospital to take it out?”

“No need.” Shi Mu rejected him decisively. If he went to the hospital for such a small matter, wouldn’t he be laughed at by Yi Zheng in the future?
