Chapter 1507 There’s A Reason Why Gu Jingze is So Powerful

Gu Jingze let Gu Jingyan accompany Lu Beichen at the hospital. He and Lin Che prepared to attend the banquet the Williams threw.

Lin Che tidied up and took a car with Gu Jingze to the Williams' house entrance.

The Williams' house was of a unique old-fashioned European architecture.

It looked like any other castle from afar, but when closer, though rusty and old, every line was entailed with the beauty of a European style. It looked extravagant and detailed.

Lin Che stopped at the door and looked before following Gu Jingze in.

Many people came, and after they saw Gu Jingze and Lin Che together, they distanced themselves away.

"I heard those Arabic men have gone missing."

"Indeed, they're missing. Because someone made a move."

"They were rid of so quickly? This person's power is really…"

Everyone speculated and could not help but to stay further from them.

Lin Che noticed how those people seemed to avoid them, and she could not help but feel weird about it.

However, some people stayed away, and some came over, especially to say hi.

"Mr. Gu, I've heard…" A man with a big belly walked over happily. "I've been uncomfortable with those Arabic men from the start. They only know how to use violence and guns. Moreover, they would dare to do anything, even if it's foul."

The entire William family behind was sizing Gu Jingze and Lin Che up, as though trying to determine how much threat they were under. Who were these people who seemed so powerful?

However, the eldest son of the William family, Clifford, was seen staring at Gu Jingze nervously.

After Johnson left and continued greeting others, Clifford slowly came over. He looked at Gu Jingze and said, "Hey, your gun skills aren't bad. When are you free? Can we have a friendly competition?"

Gun skills?

He was referring to the day that Gu Jingze had shot the Arabic men in the head.

He knew that day's matter like the back of his hand.

This remark was both a threat and a provocation.

His meaning was exact. He was not afraid of Gu Jingze.

Gu Jingze curled his lips faintly.

"Okay."

"Great, come with me."

The two of them left in front of all the people.

The entire house of people felt insecure and jealous.

Why could Gu Jingze enter? Why could Gu Jingze have a private talk so quickly?

Was it only because Gu Jingze had gotten rid of those Arabic men first?

Gu Jingze followed Clifford into the training room.

A gun was immediately thrown into Gu Jingze's hands.

Clifford said, "I hate those Arabic men, too. So, I'm delighted that you got rid of them."

Gu Jingze raised his brows, unsure if that was the case.

At this moment, a smart person would know to keep silent if there was nothing.

Clifford said, "Come, let's shoot a round."

Gu Jingze faced down and did not even need to aim. He took a shot right away.

Clifford smiled even more and looked at Gu Jingze. "Fantastic."

Gu Jingze said, "You have a motive for getting me here alone. Why not just say it?"

Clifford was surprised. "What are you saying?"

Gu Jingze looked at him. "If you just wanted to see how my skills are, you already saw it for yourself. The rumors are not fake. If you'd like to say anything, you can say it. It'll be better if we do not waste each other's time."

Gu Jingze stood there and made him feel it was hard to imagine. This was obviously his territory, and yet this man made him feel extremely insecure.

Clifford said, "You want the ginseng, right?"

Gu Jingze nodded.

Clifford said, "There are too many who want the ginseng. You can't get it."

"So that means that the ginseng is going to someone, is that it?" Gu Jingze asked.

What he meant was there were too many people who wanted the ginseng. Gu Jingze would not get it, but someone will eventually.

Which also meant that their family would give the ginseng to someone. But had this person been selected?

Clifford was afraid of this man's mind.

He had only said one sentence, and he was able to guess more than one point?

Clifford said, "I don't understand what you're saying. What I mean is, the ginseng is our family's symbol. We'll never give it up."

Clifford's face changed.

His guess was right and it made him speechless.

Clifford contemplated for long before he broke his state of embarrassment.

"Alright. My sister is going to become a consort soon, but she's missing."

"What?"

"She's missing, and her wedding is next week. But now we can't find her, and we can't announce it. If not, the marriage might not happen. We don't wish for the marriage to be canceled."

Gu Jingze understood in a moment.

The William family was a traditional family. Their younger sister had been chosen as consort. However, being wilful, she left the William family and gone missing. Lin Che watched the entire process from the side. She could not help but sigh.
