Yin Shiqiong also sighed in relief. She originally thought that girl was Fu Xiuyu’s side chick or something.

Now it appeared that the girl just one-sidedly liked him.

Shen Jie wanted to say something but Qiao Qing stopped him with a look.

She looked over to Lin Xiyan with a serious expression on her face.

Though Qiao Qing wasn’t sure what kind of feelings Li Xiyan had towards this brother of hers, she had placed a rare opportunity that promised Lin Xiyan’s future before her. It was going to be up to her to grasp onto this opportunity.

Qiao Qing wanted to see if Lin Xiyan was worth the effort she put in, in paving out a grand path.

Fu Xiuyu watched over Lin Xiyan’s pale little face. The pain he felt suddenly got stronger and his head began to hurt.

He had no idea what was wrong so he could only suppress this strange feeling.

Again, he looked at Lin Xiyan and asked, “What do you say?”

Lin Xiyan’s shoulders were visibly shaking. She used all her might to tighten her fists and did her best to stop the tears from falling out of her eyes.

Her lips twisted and she responded in a calm voice, “Sorry. I earned this female lead role by successfully auditioning. I’m not going to trade.”

Qiao Qing sighed in relief.

Fu Siying immediately exploded, “We give you face yet you don’t want it! We are providing you with a chance to step down! You think it’s up to you whether you trade or not?!”

“Siying.” Fu Xiuyu disagreed with her and gestured for her to calm down.

Then, he looked back at Lin Xiyan, “You better think this through. If you think I didn’t provide you with enough, you can ask for more. Such as roles in other shows.”
