Chapter 13 Lamborghini

Ye Shaoyang continued to explain, “No sorcerer in their right mind would capture a spirit and lock up in its rotten body, letting it continue to hurt other people . That doesn’t make sense . But my guess is that this person wanted to raise a drowned undead . He created it, and he even got it a female ghost to help it . The drowned undead would absorb the Yang Qi from the living and also consume the soul essence from captured souls . The sorcerer also planted this locust tree to help gather Yin Qi for the drowned undead . And when the drowned undead became a powerful creature, this person would have used it to do something bad . ”

Xiao Ma asked with shock, “There are evil sorcerers?”

Ye Shaoyang rolled his eyes and answered, “What bad person or good person? Sorcerers that practice black magic are everywhere . Some would keep ghosts to help them do harm, while some keep black magic items . Sometimes, I feel humans are scarier than spirits and demons . ”

Then, Ye Shaoyang walked under the locust tree and looked at the thick tree trunk, “Plenty of Yin Qi has surrounded this locust tree . I think it will soon form a specter, which will cause harm . ”

After he said that, he drew a Thunder Talisman Paper, threw it on the trunk of the tree, and took a few steps back . He muttered an incantation . A few seconds later, a loud bang rang out .

A Thunder Talisman Paper did not draw normal thunder from the sky . Instead, it drew a special Yin thunder that dealt with ghosts and demons . This Yin thunder only produced a bang, but it did not produce any light .

A great fire erupted on the tree . Soon enough, the blazing inferno completely engulfed the tree . Suddenly, the tree began to shake, like a person trying to put out a fire . As the tree burned, black liquid spurted out from the small cracks on its body . However, the fire instantly burned and charred the liquid .

The lady instinctively stepped back and murmured, “This is too terrifying . ”

Xiao Ma took the opportunity to put his arms around the lady and said, “Don’t be scared little lady, I’ll protect you . ” However, she greeted him with a thrust from her elbow .

“Ouch, I’m just trying to comfort you . I thought you were scared . ”

“You pervert, you’re more annoying than ghosts!”

After a ten minute burn, the giant locust tree became a pile of charcoal . Xiao Ma and the lady finally let out a sigh of relief . However, something strange happened at this moment . Three green fireballs flew out from the pile of charcoal . These fireballs were not burning strong .

“What are they?” the lady asked, “They look pretty . ”

“Primordial spirits,” Ye Shaoyang answered .

Three blurry and indistinct human outlines appeared at the foot of the previously standing locust tree . They all kneeled down and thanked Ye Shaoyang .

“Thank you Mister for killing the demon and burning this evil tree . ”

Ye Shaoyang gave a sympathetic look and asked, “The female ghost killed all of you?”

One of them answered, “Yes Mister, that female ghost would kill one person every three years . The female ghost and the evil tree trapped the others and I here . Some of the souls that were captured earlier have already broken into primordial spirits and consumed . ”

Ye Shaoyang let a sigh, as he felt sorry for the three innocent souls that the evil spirit murdered . Because of that, he told the three souls, “Go to the underworld now and report to Yama, the King of Hell . I’ll write a talisman paper for you, explaining what you’ve been through . They will not judge you too harshly . What you’ve suffered in this life, you’ll be compensated in the next . ”

Then, Ye Shaoyang took out his cinnabar ink pen and wrote some words on the paper . After he finished, he released the talisman paper, and it started to fly north . The three souls gave their final thanks . Then, they turned into a puff of green smoke that fused into the talisman paper . Xiao Ma and the lady were speechless, as they watched the paper slowly disappear .

“Let’s go then,” Ye Shaoyang said .

Then, Xiao Ma replied urgently, “Aren’t you gonna find that evil sorcerer?”

“That female ghost and the drowned corpse have been here for more than a century, so that sorcerer would have already died,” Ye Shaoyang explained, “Even though that person was able to set up this place to raise a powerful drowned undead, he was ultimately unable to use it . ”

Xiao Ma started to complain, “What? That’s no justice; he made this thing, and it was able to kill so many people . It almost killed me!”

“Everyone has to pay for their actions when they reach the underworld . ”

“Thank you Mister for saving my life …” the lady answered with a trembling voice . As she had seen all the spirits speak to him with such great respect, she unknowingly did the same . Ye Shaoyang gave a silly laugh and said, “Please don’t call me Mister, my name’s Ye Shaoyang, and you can call me … big brother Shaoyang . ”

As Xiao Ma watched Ye Shaoyang behave so flirtatiously, he thought to himself, What a fast change of attitude . When they arrived at the main road, Zhou Jingru pulled out her cellphone and ordered the person on the other side . She told them that she had already called a car to pick them up . Ye Shaoyang did not know anything about cars, but he at least knew it was expensive .

“Lamborghini!” Xiao Ma yelled with excitement .

“What ghini?” Ye Shaoyang asked curiously, as he only knew what a bikini was, “Is it better than Mercedes Benz?”

Zhou Jingru slightly laughed .

Xiao Ma looked down on Ye Shaoyang and spat out a word at him, “Hillbilly!”

The chauffeuse was in her twenties, and she was also a very pretty lady with a very mature look . She noticed that Zhou Jingru was with these two weirdos from the countryside . Although she was curious, she did not ask for details . They all got into the car, and she drove off .

Xiao Ma sat closer to Ye Shaoyang and whispered in his ear, “Hey, I won’t compete with you to get Zhou Jingru, but in return, you gotta set me up with her chauffeuse after you’re with Jingru . ” Ye Shaoyang became irritated at him and elbowed him .

Xiao Ma had totally forgotten that he was in such a terrible shape . He saw that the chauffeuse was pinching her nose, while her face was full of disgust . Xiao Ma thought to himself, I guess I screwed up her first impression of me . Now, all that she’ll remember is a stinky a*s fatty… .
