“So, you want me to kneel on the remote control?” asked Ning Meng.

“??”

Little Tian Tian handed her the remote control for the TV.

“You really want to watch TV?”

“Woof!”

“Can I get my phone?”

Immediately, Little Tian Tian brought her cellphone to her!

It seemed that being grounded was not exactly a bad thing after all. Ning Meng plopped herself on the sofa comfortably and caressed Little Tian Tian. It rested its head on her feet and lay down on the ground, obviously contented and happy.

“I’m doing all I can to stop the media from releasing the photo. I didn’t expect someone to use the photo against her,” said Qi Shan.

“You shouldn’t let yourself ‘be affected by false truths. You’ll need to apologize to the boss later.”

“I’m not too good at this kind of thing… can you do it on my behalf?”

So, both of them opened the doors. After feeling the icy atmosphere in the villa, Qi Shan straightened up like a guilty primary school kid. Su Ye looked at him and took out his cellphone to show Huo Beichen the CCTV footage.

Suddenly, someone came knocking at the door. Qi Shan then went to answer it.

“Where is Meng Meng?” asked Ning Wentao.

“She is in Room 204,” answered Qi Shan.

“Okay.”

Ning Wentao did not dare to look at Huo Beichen in the eye. He ran past him straight to her room.

“Meng Meng, I will always keep to my promise! I’m here to rescue you!”

Upon hearing that, Qi Shan felt even more pressure from Huo Beichen.

“Eh? Boss? Who tossed the bowl on the floor?” asked an obviously scared Qi Shan.

Su Ye looked at him, disappointed. He had asked the wrong question at the wrong time.
