Ning Meng said this and went out to find a restroom in the shopping mall. Zhen Shanmei was left speechless and soon shouted at her from the back.

“… You know that I don’t eat dinner so that I can lose weight! But there are roast ducks in the opposite shop, I will order a takeaway for two of those. It’s hard to get you to spend your money, I must definitely buy something!”

Ning Meng waved at her and went into the restroom at the side. She was pale and quickly looked for a vacant toilet cubicle as her stomach was in severe pain. When the pain had finally been soothed, Ning Meng wiped the sweat from her forehead and was ready to go out, but she then realized that this compartment had no toilet paper.

‘Why is there no toilet paper in the restroom of such a big shopping mall?’

Fortunately, her friend was around. Hence, Ning Meng took out her phone and sent Zhen Shanmei a WeChat text: [Send me a wrapped packet~]

Zhen Shanmei instantly replied: [? Now?]

Ning Meng: [Yes.]

Zhen Shanmei: [OK, I’ll go buy it now.]

‘Buy?’

Zhen Shanmei had probably not brought any tissues along with her as well. Ning Meng waited for ten minutes but Zhen Shanmei still had not come over, and so, she sent another text: [Have you bought it? I’m in the western side of the toilet. Quickly come and give it to me!]

Ning Meng: [??]

She was about to tell her through text that her legs had cramped up when she heard Zhen Shanmei’s voice from outside the door.

“Ning Meng, you really want me to bring this in?”

“?? Faster!”

Zhen Shanmei walked in cautiously and headed toward Ning Meng’s cubicle. It was quite spacious under the door, so she stuffed the packet through. Ning Meng took a look inside the greasy wrapped packet and there was a… roasted duck?? She was utterly baffled.

“Why the h*ll are you giving me a duck!?”

Zhen Shanmei was equally baffled.

“I said that I wanted to buy two roasted ducks, and then you sent me this text. Weren’t you asking me to help you buy one takeaway duck?”

She slowly looked at the first text on her phone: [Send me a wrapped packet~]

She mulled over the situation. “I was saying to get me a wrapped packet of tissues! Not a wrapped packet of duck!”

“???”

Zhen Shanmei regained her senses. “Ahh, I’ll go and buy you some tissues, I did not bring any!”

She rushed out of the toilet while saying this, and Ning Meng shouted out, “What are we going to do with this duck?”

Zhen Shanmei’s brain was completely blank, and she casually shouted back, “You can eat it while waiting for me!”
