Chapter 11: Gathering Herbs Once More

Lin Xiao spent the rest of the morning to practice with Wenren Yu. As they trained, he came to realize that the reason why Wenren Yu didn't have high cultivation stage was because he loved to spend his time reading medicinal books and tend to the plants in the garden.

That was the lowest limitation for one to join Taiyi Sect. If they reached rank 6 when they were already above 20 years old, their potential would have already diminished. They didn't have much worth anymore for the sect.

Of course, there were always exception such as children reaching body training faster and so on.

"I'm going to gather some herbs again. Is there any other herbs that you want me to search?"

"Can you memorize everything I tell you?" Wenren Yu asked.

In the next second, Wenren Yu began to spew out more than 100 herbs that he wanted Lin Xiao to find. Most of them were commons, so Lin Xiao knew that Wenren Yu was only targeting herbs that he might find.

"You're going early this time?" Lin Yun asked in surprise. It was still afternoon and the sun was still high up in the sky. There were still a lot of time before the usual time for Lin Xiao to gather the herbs.

Wiping his sweat, Lin Xiao glanced at the sky. He grinned. "I plan to try climbing higher this time. There might be some previous herbs if I managed to get high enough."

"Be careful, Bro." Lin Yun furrowed his brows. His parents always reminded him to be careful of the higher place when gathering herbs because it was very dangerous. The higher they were, the more dangerous it would be. But at the same time, there would be much more valuable herbs too.

Lin Xiao fixed his clothes and grabbed the medicinal basket. He carried it on his back and smiled. "There's no need to worry, I can take care of myself."

Lin Yun shook his head when he saw his brother departed. Glancing at Wenren Yu, who had chosen to rest again, he tilted his head. "You're wounded quite deeply yet still trained with my brother. Are you wounds alright?"

This helped him refreshed his memory of the training again.

"You should rest. I'm going to train."

Wenren Yu watched the younger brother and shook his head a bit. Having a warm family was always so enviable as there were many people who didn't have harmonious family. His eyes were locked onto the flower for a few moments as he didn't dare to get close without having any preparation.

The grasses around the flower had wilted.
