Situ Qin smiled at her and said, “I came here with my friends to have fun.”

Situ Qin said, “They are my partners. We opened a LAN shop.”

Zi Yi nodded her head. “That sounds good.”

Situ Qin said with a smile, “Indeed. This kind of work is very flexible. I can basically work from home, take care of my Grandfather and earn some money too at the same time. It’s much better than doing nothing.”

Zi Yi thought of Situ Feng and asked, “Your Brother’s salary should be good. In fact, you don’t have to work.”

Situ Feng was following Lu Yunxiao and Zi Yi heard from Lu Jingye before that the Lu Family’s secret guard’s salary and treatment were pretty good.

Situ Qin smiled shyly. “My Brother’s money is earned with his life at stake. I have to save up for him so that he’ll be able to marry in the future.”

Her friends were looking at her with excited expressions.

Situ Qin gave them a brief explanation. “Miss Zi is my Grandfather’s attending doctor.”

“Wow… Situ Qin, what kind of background does your family have? You even got Boss Zi to treat your Grandfather.”

Situ Qin subconsciously felt that she cannot reveal her family situation. Her Brother was currently working under the Third Young Master Lu and he was involved with dangerous work. If she revealed it and someone with ulterior motives were to know of it, wouldn’t it cause harm to her brother?

In the end, she gave a brief explanation. “Didn’t I tell you before? I’m from the countryside. It just so happened that Miss Zi was treating patients with an incurable disease in one of the affiliated hospitals of the Medical University. We met there and we requested her to help treat my Grandfather. It could be because my Grandfather’s illness was considered a tough one to treat, so she agreed.”

“Then…” Zhang Ya’s eyes flashed and she continued asking, “Since Boss Zi is treating your Grandfather, you must be in contact frequently, right?”

“Not really. Miss Zi’s medical skills are superb and she has only seen my Grandfather a few times. Right now, my Grandfather only needs to slowly recuperate.”

The others quietly made eye contact with each other.

Even though Situ Qin said that, they still felt that she must be close to Zi Yi.

If Zi Yi were to casually say something and help them, their shop would definitely be the most popular one.

At the thought of this, they started acting more enthusiastically toward Situ Qin.

By the time Zi Yi returned to the villa, Lu Jingye had yet to come home.

Zi Yi ended up following Mrs. Lu around and watched her prepare milk pudding for dessert in the small kitchen.

Mrs. Lu passed her the freshly made pineapple pudding and said, “I had someone make a trip down to the countryside to catch an old pigeon to make soup with. Tonight, you and Jingye should drink more. Look at you, you’ve lost so much weight in just a few months.”

Zi Yi buttered up to Mrs. Lu while she ate the pudding. “Mom, the soup you prepare is the yummiest. I want to drink two bowls tonight.”

Mrs. Lu was delighted deep down inside. She then fed a piece of pastry she had made to Zi Yi.

Lu Jingye who was standing by the kitchen door was also smiling. Just as he was prepared to head upstairs to wash up, Zi Yi turned around.

Zi Yi saw Lu Jingye standing by the door and her eyes were beaming with joy. “Ah Jing, you’re home.”

With that, she held the pudding and came over.

Lu Jingye nodded his head and said, “I’ll go wash up first.”

Zi Yi followed him. While walking, she scooped up a spoonful of pudding and fed it to him.

Lu Jingye ate it and said, “It’s too sweet.”

“How is it sweet? It’s clearly pineapple flavored.”

Zi Yi knew that he was not fond of sweet food and so, she did not continue feeding him.

Both of them made their way upstairs together.
