Bryan stopped him and said, “You should fight for the spot.”

After some time, she told Lu Jingye, “The worms don’t dare to constantly stay in touch with Country A, so they send a code out daily.”

As she spoke, she laughed coldly. “There isn’t a code I can’t crack in this world.”

She pulled up a virtual keyboard and typed swiftly with both hands.

After some time, a string of code appeared on the virtual screen.

Lu Jingye asked, “What does this code mean?”

“The worm has told the royalty from Country A to slow us down. He will find a way to contact the other worms.”

Lu Jingye frowned. “Will the male worm be able to reach its species?”

“The worms have their natural way of communicating with their own kind, but they need to be in the same space. If the universe consists of several galaxies, we are at the lowest rung. If he wants to communicate with his own kind across spaces, he can only use an external universal communicator.”

As Zi Yi spoke, she tapped on the keyboard swiftly. After some time, she continued speaking, “I think they probably know where to get what they need. Otherwise, they won’t be so eager to slow us down with such distractions.”

Lu Jingye pressed her shoulder and said, “Guoguo is very clingy toward us now. Even if the robot can change her diaper, she won’t sleep later. Just give me a minute. I’ll get her changed and put her to bed now.”

Lu Jingye got up from the bed the moment he finished his sentence.

He put on his clothes and went beside the crib.

Zi Yi was so upset that she hammered the bed. She said in displeasure, “Why do I have a feeling your daughter is out to get me? Each time we make out, she interrupts us. This has to stop. Tomorrow night, I’ll get Mom to take care of her.”

Lu Jingye turned his head to look at Zi Yi as she threw a temper. After changing Guoguo’s diaper, he fed her some milk.

Guoguo unexpectedly refused to sleep. She pointed at the bed gurgling, wanting to sleep with Zi Yi.

Zi Yi looked at her in annoyance and said, “I don’t want to sleep with you. You’re such a bad girl.”

Guoguo’s expression collapsed.

Zi Yi gestured for Guoguo to stay quiet. “Don’t wake your brother.”

Guoguo turned her little head looking for her older brother.

Tangtang usually woke up once for milk and a diaper change at night. His sleeping pattern was far more routined than his little sister’s.

Guoguo reached her hand out toward Zi Yi and wanted to go to her.

Zi Yi put on her pajamas under the blanket and told Lu Jingye to bring the baby over.

After Guoguo curled up in Zi Yi’s arms, she said angrily, “Do you have to be so clingy? Go to bed now. You’re sleeping with your grandmother tomorrow night.”

Guoguo babbled in response.

“I’m not chatting with you. Go to sleep.”

Zi Yi covered Guoguo’s eyes with her hand.

Guoguo thought Zi Yi was playing with her. She parted her lips and started giggling happily.

Lu Jingye looked at Zi Yi and Guoguo. He walked around the bed and lay down beside Zi Yi.

Zi Yi leaned into his arms and said, “Ever since we have had her, the quality of our s*x life has decreased vastly. If this goes on, I’m going to lose interest in you soon enough. Hmm… What are you doing?”

When Zi Yi suddenly got touched at the waist, she trembled and nearly moaned out loud.

She elbowed his chest in annoyance. “Cut it out.”

“I thought you were losing interest in me, right?” His deep voice could be heard by Zi Yi’s ear. His warm breath made her tremble.

He kept touching her waist with his large hand. She nearly wanted to forget about Guoguo and pounce on him this instant.

“Don’t touch me.”

Zi Yi gasped and said huffily, “If you touch me again, you can carry the baby.”

Lu Jingye lowered his eyes looking at Guoguo in her arms. He smiled and said, “She’s already asleep.”

“Hmm?” Zi Yi lowered her head for a look. Sure enough, Guoguo had fallen asleep after Zi Yi covered her eyes with her hand. Guoguo was sound asleep as she moved her lips slightly.

Zi Yi smiled and said hurriedly to Lu Jingye, “Come on. Put her back into the crib so that we can continue.”

Lu Jingye felt tickled looking at her being impatient. He got out of the bed and carried Guoguo to the crib. After he came back, they picked up on what they were doing previously.
