Chapter 961: The Wang Clan Makes A Move

Kana was in her office doing paperwork as usual as Angelica and Rain helped her. "Mama, where did Bi and Mei go? Normally they are back by now." Angelica asked.

"Mmm… Bi and Mei were kidnapped by the Wang family. So she is currently playing." Kana replied, seemingly uncaring about the situation.

"Oh…. Why would they do something so stupid?" Rain shook her head, she almost felt bad for the Wang family.

"Who knows what goes on through those people's heads? When they send someone to talk about ransom, just cut off their head. No need to even say anything." Kana snorted. She really wondered why the Wang clan thought that kidnapping one of her daughters was a good idea. "Yana will deal with the Wang clan after Bi and Mei have had their fun."

"Make sure to tell her to bring the Wang clan elders' and clan head's souls back. We can put them on the palace gates." Rain reminded.

"Ah! Yes. I will do that!" Kana quickly sent Yana a message.

"Their souls? Okay, Mama." Yana replied. She was currently sitting in a big tree inside the Wang Clan's estate, looking down at the main building where there was a meeting taking place listening in. They had put up a sound blocking array, but that only worked on people who used spiritual qi only so Kana and her family could easily see inside the building and hear what was going on.

She watched as a young man ran into the building. "Clan head! The job is done. We have the package!"

"Oh? Good!" The Wang clan head smiled as he sat back in his chair. "We will now begin with the next phase in the plan. Ninth elder, you and eighth elder will go to the palace with a few girls and have them become the empress's emperor's concubines. With this, we will once more be able to do as we please. Have the empress's daughter marry that idiot. If she is sullied by a Wang Clan member, she will have no choice but to reside here if she is married to one of our family members.."

"Right away, clan head!" The Wang clan's ninth elder smiled brightly. He couldn't wait to regain the status of their clan and do as they pleased once more.

The two Wang clan elders quickly rounded up five of their most beautiful girls and had them follow them to the palace. The girls, on the other hand, were not happy about this. They did not wish to be used as pawns to anger the empress, as they had seen what the empress had done. They were nothing but children of concubines with low status in the Wang clan, so they had no choice but to follow, but this did not mean they would have to stand for it once they were in audience with the Empress.

An hour later, Xue walked into Kana's office and informed Kana of the Wang Clan's arrival: "Your Highness, the Wang clan elders are here with five girls in tow ranging from ages fifteen to eighteen."

"Okay. Rain or Angelica will meet them." Kana replied. Rain stood up since she wanted to deal with the situation. Or more like she was the one who won rock paper scissors ten minutes ago.

Rain walked out with Xue and made her way to the throne room. Once they arrived, she walked right over to the throne and sat down, confusing the elders who were expecting the empress to show up. Xue stood at her side as if what was happening was perfectly normal. "Elders of the Wang clan, why are you here?"

"May I ask why Princess Rain is here and not the empress?" The Wang clan elder asked.

"Does me being here instead of Mama mean anything different? My words are my Mama's words. If you do not like it, you can return. We won't bother with people who think they are better than the sky." Rain waved her hand and went to stand up but was stopped when the Wang clan's ninth elder yelled out: "Wait! We will talk with you."

"Oh?" Rain slowly sat back down. She waved her hand, and Xue smiled and poured her some tea and snacks. They were crackers with a very loud crunching sound. Rain smiled before turning and coldly looking at the Wang clan. "Well? Why did you come here?"

"We wanted to inform you that your youngest…."

*Crunch!*

"Ahem…. We wanted to inform…."

"We…."

"Mm… not bad. Xue, make sure they order more of these. They have just the right crisp to them." Rain had not been paying attention at all to the Wang clan elders. She looked back over at them and said: "Since this meeting is done, you can leave now."

"Princess Rain! We have not even gotten a chance to tell you why we are here!" The Wang clan's eighth elder yelled out.

"Huh? Didn't I just give you time to do that? Why are you beating around the bush? Just come out and say it!" Rain yelled, feeling disgruntled. They had all the time in the world, and yet they didn't even say what they wanted to say!

"Your youngest sister has taken a liking to one of our Wang clan's young masters and has already bedded with him. I hope you can give them your approval to be married into the Wang clan. We have also brought some of the finest girls in the Wang clan for your emperor to look at to make sure the family line of our Empress will always continue without worry." The Wang clan eighth elder replied.

"Lies! They kidnapped your sister and are about to have the idiot son of the eighth elder sully her! You have to save her before she…."

"You dare spout such lies!?" The Wang clan's ninth elder yelled out.

"What lies!" The girl stared at the Wang clan's ninth elder with cold eyes. "You all decided to kidnap her and try to make the Wang clan rise again, so you can do as you please! You want to make use of us children of concubines as a means to infiltrate the palace and make the empress's emperor against the empress! Do not think we are stupid enough to follow along with such a thing!"
