Chapter 932: Challenge!

Kana and Creige continued flying towards the grand palace looking thing in the distance. The Xuegang clan head and the other elders were all stunned by the reaction of the couple in front of them. They had never encountered such a situation before. Where was the I will defeat you and then defeat your ancestor, moment? What happened to the, do you think you can stop me, part of the script!? Why were they just flying on by as if they were nothing but air? Farts that tooted and were left behind to be blamed on someone else.

"Halt!" The Xuegang clan head couldn't take this. It was like a huge slap to his face. His body flashed, and he appeared in front of Kana, only to once again be passed by as if he really did not exist! He couldn't take this! He stomped his feet in mid air acting like a spoiled child who just had his toy taken away as he turned and drew his sword, but by the time he completed his actions, the couple had already disappeared off into the distance!

"Clan head!" One of the elders flew up to him. "What do we do?"

"What else do we do!? We stop them! Don't let them disturb our ancestor!" The Xuegang clan head yelled out as his body once more flashed and disappeared from where he stood. He was quickly followed by the rest as they all gave chase after Kana.

"They are chasing us," Creige whispered with an amused smile on his lips. When Kana told him to just ignore them as if they were nothing but air, Creige thought the suggestion was quite amusing and played along. He never really thought it would work so well to the point that they had already reached the palace where the clan lived within the mystic realm.

"Let them chase. They can't do anything even if they wanted to." Kana replied as she tapped the array barrier that was surrounding the palace with her finger causing a loud shattering sound to be heard.

The Xuegang clan head and all the elders who saw this froze in place. This was an array that was put up by their great great ancestor. It was not something that could easily be broken, yet here it was, broken with a single poke of the lizard girl's finger.

"This…." The Xuegang clan head was unsure if he should even try to fight the young woman and the young man. It was certain that he would die if he did!

"Clan head! We…." Even the elders did not wish to keep chasing. They would rather go hide someplace!

"I will send a message to the ancestor and tell him he is needed due to an invader we can not stop. I am sure he can easily defeat both of them in a single breath." The Xuegang clan head replied. He would rather sacrifice the ancestor than himself! He could then become the next ancestor and enjoy an easy life after he reached the ascended realm!

"Clan head is wise!" All the elders agreed they would rather give up the old man and raise a new ancestor than to lose their lives trying to fight someone who could break such a barrier with a single poke of their finger.

And so, while Kana and Creige were contemplating how to get the ancestor out to fight, the Xuegang clan head sent a message out to the ancestor, requesting his help. This was his only way to keep his own life and not try to fight a losing battle. But to make things realistic, he looked at the elders, who all nodded back to him before suddenly striking out at them. From there, a major battle ensued where everyone became bloodied and black and blue, but no one was left with life threatening injuries. All in order to make it look like they at least tried to fight.

As for the old man sitting in a chair with a brush in his hand painting a picture, he only raised his head when he heard the shattering sound from outside. "Those brats can handle this…" With a small snort, he decided to ignore what was going on. Only if he was asked to help would he show himself, so he went about his business. But as he went to place another stroke of his brush on the canvas in front of him. A white crane made of paper suddenly flew in through his window and landed on the tip of his brush. His brow wrinkled, wondering why they would send him a request to appear so soon when he had yet to hear any fighting.

Sighing, it picked up the paper crane and opened it. "Ancestor, save us!" One simple phrase and nothing more. The Xuegang clan ancestor furrowed his brow as he slowly put his brush down. He got up and adjusted his robes, and stroked his beard before walking over to the window. What he saw was a young couple floating in the sky, looking down at the palace, chatting with one another as if they were on a stroll through a garden. Letting out a long sigh, he took a deep breath and tried to put on his most intimidating expression before flying out the window and arriving in front of the young couple. "Why have you invaded my Xuegang clan!?"

Seeing the new person who was the oldest of the old me so far, Creige raised a brow and asked: "Are you the ancestor?"

"I am the Xuegang clan ancestor. Why do you ask?" The Xuegang clan ancestor felt like things were much different from what they seemed.

"Nothing much. I just wanted to have a fight with an ascended, if you do not mind. If I win, I get this mystic realm as my wife wants it, so what do you say?" Creige's smile was blinding and could make any girl swoon. In fact, the girls below all came out of hiding because they heard Creige's voice and were staring at him with eyes filled with love. Which was making Kana hold her head up high, knowing her Handsome Husband was the handsomest!
