Chapter 57: Headache

Creige looked at Kana, who was looking back at him with a confused expression, and let out a sigh. "Forget it. Let's just say you are no longer wrong in calling me husband. In a way, this works out well for me too."

"Oh?" Kana was still confused as to what was going on, and Lysairth was not saying anything to clear things up. But since she was hearing that she could call him husband, it was fine!

"Alright, I will bring you to your friends now." Creige jumped from the ledge with Kana hugging his neck tightly.

"Wow! Cool!" Kana felt like she was flying as they soared down the mountain and through the treetops. She reached her hand out, letting the air rush past her hand as she giggled. Seeing Kana so happy even made Creige crack a small smile.

As a demon, once he was married to someone, he was bound to them for life. Even if their spouse died, they would not find another. Demons led long lives of thousands of years, so when they did marry, it was normally to someone of their own race. But for Creige, he was alone on this continent since the day he woke up here. Since meeting Baldswin and being taught how to forge, he only cared about forging weapons and nothing else. Women were nothing more than an annoyance to him. But now… He was married to a little girl who had just evolved. Normally one would be mad about such things, but he could not be. When he looked at Kana's innocent confused face after the ceremony, he knew she did not do it knowingly. But now, he was bound to her for his entire life. The black ring on his finger marked their marriage. In a way, this was a good thing since Baldswin would stop trying to set him up, allowing him more free time to forge.

He landed on the ground to find two girls staring blankly back at him. Their eyes were darting back and forth between Kana and himself. "Are these your friends?"

"Mmm! Ceilie and Tilia!" Kana nodded her head and said.

"Wait… Kana!?" Ceilie finally snapped out of it, hearing the familiar voice, and looked at Kana, who was being held in a handsome man's arms and hugging the handsome man's neck.

"Yep! The great and wonderful I!" Kana said proudly, sticking her nose in the air with a smug expression.

"Okay… Then who is this!?" Ceilie turned to Creige and looked him up and down.

"My husband!" Kana stated matter of factly. Creige didn't say a word to refute her since it was the truth.

"Huh? Wait… Kana, it is not good to say that even if you are joking." Ceilie thought Kana was saying it as a joke.

"Hmmm? I'm not joking. He gazed upon my naked body! So now he is my husband." And this is how misunderstandings are formed, is what Creige thought. But before he could even open his mouth, Ceilie had already drawn her bow and was aiming it at Creige.

"Let Kana go now! You damned lolicon pervert! How old are you? You even made a poor little girl show you her body! That is sick and disgusting! If I do not slay you today, I can not consider myself Kana's sworn sister!" Ceilie kept going on and on, causing Creige to feel another headache coming on.

"Ceilie, no!" Kana hugged Creige tightly as she yelled out. "You can't hurt him!"

Ceilie, who was about to release her arrow, frowned. She saw Kana looking at her with the big round watery eyes, and her determination to wipe out the pervert in front of her began to falter. She let out a sigh and lowered her bow. But she still glared at Creige as she said: "You should feel lucky that Kana stopped me! Now explain to me what is going on."

"She forced me to marry her..." Creige answered. His answer was short and to the point. He raised his hand and showed Ceilie the black ring on his finger. Then he pointed to the bloodstain on his neck. After which, he lifted Kana's small hand and showed Ceilie the bloodstain on her finger and also the black ring on her ring finger.

Seeing all this, Ceilie held her head in the palms of her hands as she tried to process everything. "How? How does something like that happen? Kana, did you not go up there to evolve? How the hell did you come back a married woman!? Wait, you're not even a woman! You're a married little girl!"

"Hehe… You see… I jumped out of my egg. And my husband was staring at my sexy body, so we pledged our undying love for each other." Kana fidgeted and blushed as if she was saying something naughty. But in truth, she was in her own little world, and the scene she was talking about actually happened but just not to her. Ceilie held her head and was about to say something when a voice came from her side. "Kana, that is amazing! So romantic! Ahh! How I wish I could find the love of my life!" Tilia suddenly entered fantasy mode as well. Now two people had headaches. Creige just wanted to get this over and done with so he could go farm cold steel and go back to forging. But he did not dare toss Kana down since he did not want to hurt her feelings. This stemmed from his demon nature. They were very good to their spouses. Suppose Kana asked him to do something; he would do it without hesitation. You could call it an instinct of sorts.
