Chapter 145: Paths Of Gods

"A high god?" Kana had no idea what a high god stood for, but if they were able to give Yuthia a mission, she could only guess that they were something akin to a boss.

"Mmm…. You see..." Yuthia was about to explain when Sei pulled her arm.

"Yuthia, you shouldn't..." Sei shook her head. Trying to keep Yuthia from saying anything further.

"Sei, they already know about us, and I have already mentioned high gods. There is no harm in explaining things. It is not like they can not know. There is no law saying we can not tell them." Yuthia explained while patting Sei's hand.

Sei could only let out a sigh. What Yuthia said actually made sense. Sei released her hand and stood back. "Then go ahead..."

"Ahem… One thing you do not know is that all gods and goddesses began as mortals. That is except for the one who created everything. Even to us gods, the one we refer to as the universal being, we still to this day do not know who this being is or where it came from. Whether it was once a mortal like us or not or something far from our own understanding, anyway, that stuff is boring. As for your question, when a mortal transcends the bounds of the mortal world, they will be brought to the realm of gods. But just because you became a god does not mean your path stops there. There are many paths for gods as well.

"Anyway, if the two of you ever enter the realm of gods, you will become a lower goddess at the start. Then as your main attribute reaches a certain level, you will evolve into a goddess after that is high goddess, and so on. I won't go into too much detail since it is a very complex system, and I am too lazy to explain the whole thing. When and if you reach the realm of the gods, you will find out more once you join a school." Yuthia quickly got bored of explaining things.

"School?" Kana was surprised to hear there were schools in the realm of the gods.

"Mmmm… When one first ascends to the realm of the gods, they will be transported to one of the ascension shrines. In one of the lands owned by the… I better not say any more. Just know that once you become a lower goddess, you will need to enter a school for goddesses." Yuthia explained. Sei then tugged on her robes and whispered something. "Alright, we will be leaving now. We finished what we came to do."

Kana watched as the two goddesses disappeared without another word. But the information she gained from Yuthia really surprised her. "Maybe one day I will get to see the realm of the gods."

"Goddess Kana, I will work hard so I can get that blessing!" Kiliffia's determination to become stronger grew even more. She felt that with a high god's blessing, she could finally stand next to her goddess and even protect her goddess from any and all harm.

In the realm of gods…

"Yuthia, I think you said too much." Sei said worriedly. Although it was not a rule to keep the information on the realm of gods a secret, it was still not good to tell mortals such things.

"It's fine. Kana is already very strong and is sure to become a goddess one day. Even her husband is a demigod. As for the little fox girl, if she can pass Methiesee's test, she will also become a goddess one day. Although I think Methiesee has other agendas with that little fox girl. The two were currently walking down a white stoned path with many flower beds on each side of them. Balls of different color lights rose up into the air swirling from here to there. In front of them was a tall white building that shimmered with gold along its edges. Above a set of tall double doors was a sign that read 'Heavenly Hall Of Records'.

The two entered the building and walked straight over to a small raised platform, and stood in the center of it. "Floor four." Yuthia spoke out loud. Seconds later, a white light surrounded the two causing them to disappear from the first floor.

On the fourth floor, the raised platform there lit up, and two figures appeared out of thin air. Yuthia and Sei turned left and headed down to the end of the hall, and knocked on the door. From inside, a male voice could be heard saying: "Come in."

The door opened to reveal a large office. Along these walls were bookcases filled with many books, scrolls, and other objects. In the center of the room was a large black stone desk where a man with fox ears and nine tails sat. "Did you deliver the message?"

"High God Methiesee, we have relayed your message to the one named Kiliffia." Yuthia respectfully answered as she bowed her head slightly.

"Mmm, good… I know you two have taken an interest in the dragon girl there. While you are keeping an eye on your home world, I want you two to keep any man that tries to get close to Kiliffia away. Just toss down some divine punishment. When Kiliffia ascends to become a lower god and finishes her training at the school for goddesses, I will take her as my wife. So Yuthia, you should get used to calling Kiliffia your aunt."
