Chapter 1101  Sidestory: What If-Mei Ling Part 2

Mrs. Stevens had cold sweat dripping down her back. She did feel slightly scared of Kana, but she also knew her career was on the line. She did not see a problem with allowing the kids to have some stress relief from their studies. She saw it as sacrificing one for the many. Clearing her throat, she decided to give it her all to defend herself. "You say that I am allowing the children to bully your child? But is she not just lying to you so she does not need to go to school?"

"Huh?" Kana raised an eyebrow and took a step forward. "Lying to me!? You are saying my Mei Ling is lying to me to stay home!? The girl who is afraid to even leave the house is lying to me!? Do you know that I am all she has? If she was lying to me, she would be outside the house running around doing drugs or messing around with some boy. But you say she is lying to me when all she is doing is staying home and playing a video game!? She refused to even tell me anything until I forced it out of her! The thing she wants most in the world is to make sure she is not making me worry! She gets straight As in school and does all her chores at home without complaint. But you say she is lying to me!? Mrs. Stevens, are you sure you did not sleep your way into your teaching position? I mean, what kind of teacher says a student who was on the honor roll is some kind of liar!?"

"You! How dare you slander me!" Mrs. Stevens took a few steps back, not daring to let Kana get close to her.

"Heh…. I see how it is. Then let's see how you deal with being bullied from now on, Mrs. Stevens." Kana snorted and looked at a male teacher next to her and asked. "Which one is her desk?"

"Tha-That one…." The male teacher took a few steps back. Kana's face was scary!

"You!" Mrs. Stevens couldn't believe her co-worker had just sold her out. She could do nothing but watched as Kana walked over, grabbed the papers on top, and began tearing them up before taking a red marker and writing die all over it. When she was done, she slapped the computer screen on top of the desk, breaking it before snorting and walking over to the student register. She flipped through the files that were sorted by grade and quickly found what she was looking for. She pulled the file and flipped through it before tossing it on the floor and walking towards the office exit.

Kana walked to the door and stopped her steps as she turned and looked at Mr. Stevens. "Remember…. Bullying doesn't happen just once."

Kana's words sent shivers down Mrs. Stevens's spine. Only when Kana was not visible anymore did she slump to the floor. "Mrs. Stevens!" The principal's voice rang out. Mr. Stevens turned to look up at him and hoped he was about to call the police, but all she heard was: "Make sure to clean up this mess. Everyone here did not see anything. As long as she does not go to the police, keep doing things as you are."

"Yes, principal." Many teachers did not know how they felt about the situation. It was normal to allow one kid in class to be bullied. It kept the kids better in line and kept them from bothering the teachers. Turn a blind eye, and they could teach that was what was important. The pay was already very low, so the less they had to deal with, the better. Even if Kana came back, they would still not do anything. Mainly because the principal did not want to cause a scene at the school. As long as it was nothing too much, he would not get the cops involved so that the school board does not find out.

As for the culprit of the mess in the office, Kana was still fuming with anger as she got in her car and drove off. She was now heading to the address of a certain student to go speak with her parents about the conduct of their child. Kana knew it was more than one kid who did the bullying, but for the moment, she could not let a girl who pretended to be her daughter's friend and then stabbed her in the back go. Kana turned down what seemed to be an up-scale neighborhood and snorted once more. She found the address of the house the girl lived at and pulled into the driveway, got out of the car and marched right up to the door, and rang the doorbell.

A woman in her thirties answered the door. "Can I help you?"

"Are you the mother of a girl named Sally?" Kana asked, her eyes showing no kindness at all.

Seeing Kana's posture and hearing the clear anger in her voice, the woman frowned and asked: "I am, why?"

She looked up to see Kana holding the door and frowned even more. "Excuse me. If you do not let go, I will call the police."

"Then can you tell me for why half a school year your daughter was friends with mine and then stabbed her in the back and began bullying her!? If I had not forced my daughter to talk, I would never have known that she was being outcasted at school and being stabbed in the back by the only friend she had made since starting school. So please inform me why this is so!" Kana answered, doing her best not to hit this woman.

"I am not sure what you are talking about. My daughter has always been a good girl. So please leave. I think you are miss informed." The woman replied and went to close the door but found she couldn't. She looked up to see Kana holding the door and frowned even more. "Excuse me. If you do not let go, I will call the police."

 "Oh? I do not plan to leave until you explain to me why my daughter deserves to be bullied by your daughter. I can tell you now my daughter is no liar. You can also claim the same thing, so why don't we all sit down? Me, your daughter, You, and my daughter as well. If not, I will see you in court."
