Chapter 1088 Creating Sentience Part 1

Kana tip toed to the dining area and sat down. Nancy bought out an array of dishes, all of which were meatless. "Here you go, Master, a nice healthy meal that will give your body the nutrients it needs to work harder."

Kana pursed her lips and looked at the dishes before looking back at Nancy, who was just standing there and not sitting. "Nancy, sit."

"As your maid, it is not really good for me to sit with you. My training dictates that all maids should wait until their masters to finish eating before eating themselves." Nancy replied.

But Kana was not having any of it. "Are you hiding meat on me!? Did you cook meat so that you could eat it when I was not looking!?" 

"No! I would never do such a thing! If you can not eat meat, then I can not either!" Nancy replied firmly.

"Hmmm… then sit and eat. Make sure you fill your belly. Eating alone is boring if someone else is here to eat with me." Kana motioned with her hand for Nancy to sit. Nancy looked a little troubled, but she realized that she could not go say no since Kana had insisted. With a sigh, she sat down and began dishing out food to Kana before attending to her own plate.

Kana smiled and stabbed her fork into some whatchamacallit, and began eating. As soon as the food entered her mouth, her eyes widened as she began stuffing mouthful after mouthful into her mouth. "This is not too bad… Could use some meat, though." Kana made sure to complain even though her cheeks were puffed out to the max. She began to wonder if she could bring Nancy back with her. To leave such an amazing cook behind on some backwater planet would be a crime! 

After filling her belly, Kana sat back and let out a satisfied burp which caused Nancy to glare at her. "Master as a woman, you should show a bit of dignity!"

"Who am I trying to impress? I already have a handsome husband and quite a few daughters and sons. I do not care about how others see me as my handsome husband loves me for who I am. I burp in front of him all the time. I even fart in front of him too. He called them heaven's angels symphony!" Kana shot back. She was her own person. She had no plans in changing how she acted now.

Nancy held her head as she looked at Kana and wondered if this girl was delusional. She did not look a day past twenty years of age, and she said she had a husband and many kids. Her body did not show it one bit! But she did realize she had said too much. She can not change how a person acts. This was just her new master's personality. But this did not mean she was giving up on the whole meat thing. She would not let Kana eat more than two meals with meat a week. She just would not tell Kana that until it was time to eat and the food was cooked.

After a good, filling meal, Kana walked into her office to see that it was perfectly clean again. Even all the papers she had written up were stacked on top of each other.  She sat down in her chair and moved her mouse to bring her computer out of sleep mode, and began typing away again. 

The clacking of Kana's fingers tips on her keys caught Nancy's interest. After cleaning up, she made a cup of tea and walked into the office and placed the tea cup next to Kana, and peeked at the screen to see a screen full of code that she had never seen before.

There was not a single person in this new age that did not know how to code. So seeing the code on the screen that was a coding language completely new to her she grew even more interested. Before she realized it, she had pulled up a chair and was sitting next to Kana, quietly watching. 

Kana knew Nancy was watching her code and did not mind. She sipped her tea and continued working. As night came and started to pass, she paused her fingers and looked over at the maid whose head was bobbing back and forth. Kana smiled and got up from her chair and lifted the half asleep maid up into a princess carry and brought her into her own bedroom, stripped her down to her underwear, and placed her down gently before covering her with a blanket and going back to work. 

It was early the next morning when Nancy woke up again. Her eyes blinked in confusion as she looked around. She sat up and instantly felt like something was off. "My clothes?" A strong blush formed on Nancy's face as she looked around to see her maid uniform strewn on the floor messily, which was not like her at all! She began to wonder just what had happened last night. She was not in the room she had prepared for herself. She was in her new master's bedroom. 

"Did I!? No! I couldn't have….  Let's backtrack." Nancy's head was spinning as she tried to remember the events from the night before. "I saw Master coding and grew interested due to the strange coding language. I then sat at her side to watch and then…."

Nancy held her head. She couldn't remember what had happened! She did not remember leaving the room after she sat down. She only remembered a dream where she felt like she was floating. "But… now…. What should I do!? Did we really cross the line between master and servant!?" 

Nancy seemed to be one who would overthink things quickly before she could get a clear understanding. She slowly got up and quickly put on her maid uniform, and walked out into the other room to see Kana sitting on the couch.

"Oh! Nancy, you are up. You were really cute last night. The way you just laid in my arms as I…." Before Kana could finish, Nancy let out a yell.

"I will take full responsibility!"
