Chapter 1045 XY-89 Is Confused

XY-89 tapped his foot. It had been a few hours, and Shenia had not returned yet. Normally he would not move from where he was standing, but since no one was coming, he had no choice but to check things out on his own. He walked over to where the strength test was supposed to be being held and froze in his tracks when he saw Shenia hanging from a makeshift pole upside down, swollen like a balloon. Sir Bellings was standing by where the light should be tapping his feet, not seemingly noticing the strange actions of the new hopefuls who were dancing around the pole as if they were some kind of ancient tribe.

He walked over to Sir Bellings and asked: "Sir Bellings, what the hell is going on?"

"Hmmm? Ah, XY, you are here. We are just waiting on the light to flicker back on." Sir Bellings replied with a chuckle as he continued: "We really got quite a few strong ones this year."

"If they are strong just send them on through why are you waiting for some light?" XY-89 did not get it. There was no point in the test if they were strong.

"Now, now, we can't do that. We need to be sure that everyone is treated the same. We will just wait for the light to flicker back on. Should be any minute now…." Sir Belling's eyes were wide and bloodshot as if he had lost some of his marbles as she stared at the spot where the light should be. He would never admit to the fact that the light might have been broken by a little girl!

"No…. We will continue." XY-89 shook his head he did not have all day. And it seemed Sir Bellings was broken. He turned to all the hopefuls and said: "Alright everyone to the second test."

Sir Bellings did nothing to stop XY-89 from taking everyone away. He just stood there unblinkingly, staring at the spot where the light should be. Many people would pass by, and Sir Bellings would still be standing there with his beard and hair growing down to his waist. On a day he was about to give up, something amazing happened. The light that had been out this entire time suddenly flickered back on. Sir Bellings's loud, crazy laugh could be heard through the entire academy as he yelled: "I knew it! She was unable to break it! It could not be broken!" After yelling this out, he passed out and entered a ten year coma.

Back to the present, Kana and her family walked over to the next test. Everyone forgot about Shenia, who was still hung upside down. Soli had attached herself to Yana, and anyone who even so looked at her would become a victim of her rampage. So no one dared to look in Yana's direction.

XY-89 looked at the hopefuls in front of him and said: "Since some of you did not get a chance to do the strength test, I will give you a chance to give up now if you do not think you are strong enough for the next round. It will not be easy, as you will all be pitted against one another. Behind me is a portal to one of the many worlds sealed off within Aurora. While you will have a teleportation crystal which, if smashed, will send you back here, the chances of death are still high. So as I said before, if you are not strong enough, you can choose to leave now."

XY-89 looked at everyone, and when he saw no one moving, he nodded and continued: "along the teleportation crystal, you will be given a coin. Your goal is to collect ten coins each. But do not worry, besides your fellow testees here, there will also be coins in the sealed-off world that you can also pick up, although they will be much harder to obtain. Once more, I will give you a chance to leave if you want."

"All of you come get a crystal, and a coin, then jump through the portal!"

All the hopefuls walked up and did as they were told. They could only hope to get away from the scary family. The line was quick, so Kana and her family quickly arrived at the portal. Kana looked at everyone and smiled as she said: "If you have to just destroy the world, no big deal."

"Mmmm!" Everyone nodded in understanding before taking the teleport crystals and coins and jumping through the portal. When it was Kana's turn, she looked at XY-89 and asked: "If the sealed world gets destroyed, it's your fault."

XY-89 watched as Kana jumped through the portal and disappeared with a look of confusion on his face. He did not understand why a girl just under a thousand years old would think she was all-powerful. He snorted and looked around him. "Where is Shenia!? She ran off and never came back!"

Said person was still hanging upside down with tears in her eyes as she painfully mumbled: "Anyone there? Help?"
