Chapter 90: Not Worried About You

“Are you sure you want to go home given the current circumstances?” Bai Qinghao’s cold voice did not contain any emotion. However, Fang Xinxin understood that he wanted her to return to the Yu Ting Villa with him.

He was probably worried about how Fang Lilan would treat her.

“En.” She nodded helplessly. She needed to be here to solve the pending issues.

His expression turned heavy. “Do as you like.”

She watched him for a moment. “I’ll come to the Yu Ting Villa to visit you when I’m free. You can also come to the Fang home to see me anytime.”

Upon hearing this, Bai Qinghao’s stern expression finally eased a little. “Take good care of yourself.”

He was rarely moved by others. After clearly expressing his concern for her, he added with some embarrassment. “I’m not worried about you.”

She was unruffled as she asked him teasingly. “Oh, what are you doing then?”

“Fulfilling my responsibilities as your fiancé.”

“Is that so?” Fang Xinxin took in his stern expression. She never knew that this man’s skin was so thin. He wouldn’t even admit to being worried about her. But she decided to not expose him.

“All right then, you better fulfil your duties properly.”

He narrowed his cold eyes at her. Was she finally accepting his concern and had sincerely decided to be his fiancée?

He recalled her earlier indifference when Bai Chenxi suffered a blow to his head and his mood immediately turned lighter.

“You will be my, Bai Qinghao’s, wife. That is a fact no one can change!” Although his face was expressionless, his tone was as firm as steel.

She abruptly leaned close to his stern face and pecked his cheek. She then got out of the car quickly. “Bai Qinghao, goodnight.”

Bai Qinghao was startled for a moment. Did she just steal a kiss from him?

He was used to Fang Xinxin’s dislike and refusal of his touch. But now she had suddenly kissed him. Was the sky going to collapse?

The gentleness she had shown him during these past few days had caused the steady him to become restless.

However, he liked her current avatar very much.

The corner of his lips lifted ever so slightly.

He hoped that things would remain this way forever.

Bai Qinghao ensured that Fang Xinxin entered the Fang home before he left. All of a sudden, he noticed Fang Manxue quickly jogging over to him.

The clicking noise of her heels against the ground was jarring in the quiet evening.

Fang Manxue came to a stop by the side of Bai Qinghao’s car and cried out in surprise. “CEO Bai, you’re here!”

She took in the sight of his black alligator SUV with sparkling eyes. Even his car was luxurious and grand.

If only she could sit in it for a while.

She always had a liking for extravagant things.

Although she owned a luxury car, it was nothing compared to Bai Qinghao’s vehicle.

She glanced at Bai Qinghao, who was seated in the back passenger seat. He wore a neat and well-fitted suit. There was a powerful aura around him.

This was what a powerful and outstanding man looked like!

And this man needed to belong to her, Fang Manxue.

“CEO Bai, it’s already so late. Did you come over to see me?” Fang Manxue completely ignored Fang Xinxin’s presence, who was standing several steps away.

Fang Xinxin was about to head into the house. When she noticed Fang Manxue rushing out to stop in front of Bai Qinghao’s car, she halted in her footsteps.

Bai Qinghao did not pay her any heed. His opaque eyes shifted past her to focus again on Fang Xinxin.

But Fang Manxue assumed he was staring at her. She lowered her head bashfully. “CEO Bai, if you stare at me like this, I’ll feel embarrassed…”

Previously, she had suffered because of Fang Xinxin at the Yu Ting Villa. It had made her mood turn volatile and she went out of the house to seek ‘comfort’.
