Chapter 821: Barely Escaped

“Hubby, these snakes appear to be provoked by something. They’re about to attack us.” Fang Xinxin spoke nervously.

Bai Qinghao held the hatchet in his hand. “The substance on the hatchet we picked up earlier seems to be attracting these snakes.”

Thankfully, he had been on his guard earlier and had wrapped the hatchet with leaves before picking it up.

“Should we toss it away, then?” She suggested.

“We can try doing that.” He watched as the snakes pressed closer and tossed the hatchet far away.

As expected, a portion of the snakes immediately moved in the direction of the hatchet.

However, a portion of the snakes appeared more interested in living prey and continued pressing close.

There weren’t as many bushes around them. Very quickly, the snakes began to slither out of the bushes and towards them.
