Chapter 2088  Assurance

"How can you lose sight of Icarus? Is he a little kid in a market fair? You only had one fucking task and you lost him?" Elder Minsk is yelling at his subordinate. His breathing is erratic and his beard is shaking along with him in anger.

Icarus realized who they are. The subordinate was supposed to be the one that kept an eye on Icarus while he stayed in seclusion. Icarus knew about his presence from day one, but he ignored him. And the moment Ivar called and asked him to come, he slipped past that subordinate.

Of course, he is even more sure of Elder Minsk and the incident they are talking about.

So, he is surprised that Sam had such a clear video about this.

"You managed to record this?" Icarus asked.

"No, this is live. This is happening right now in Elder Minsk's office within Zeus Academy."

Everyone froze for a second. They couldn't believe what he said.

"You are kidding, aren't you?" Michael asked as he focused his gaze on Sam. He could feel some kind of weird sense enveloping his body. "Of course, not. This is a meeting to discuss out potential partnership. Why would I joke around in such an important situation. This is what's happening within the Elder's office as we speak.

Sam snapped his fingers and the image changed. A dozen screens appeared out of nowhere and it showed different incidents happening at the same time all over the city.

And one of the screens showed the room they are in. They can see themselves in that video.

"I am using my own technology to make this happen. Before I proceed forward to explain, I am hoping that you can maintain utmost secrecy regarding this. Right now, I cannot afford having this information leaked to the outside world."

"I can vouch for them." Ivar replied to Sam's concern.

"Very well then, let me explain how my information network works.

You must have heard about the hub already. And as Ivar mentioned, I am the creator behind this. For people, the hub is a place to train and improve and even for the most cynical, Hub is just a place to rip people off.

But the primary purpose of the hub has always been information gathering.

The day of the opening, the metal puppets have been sent to every person in the region. In fact, they are even sent to the criminals that are in the hiding within the Academy realm.

They are sent along with the wrist bands that connect with these puppets.

Now almost everyone owns a metal puppet that is connected to the hub.

Most people ignore these puppets because of its usefulness and for some people it is even a novelty. However, what they don't know is the puppet acts as my eyes.

Right now, the puppet that belongs to Elder Minsk is broadcasting what is happening to the Hub and in turn me.

Of course, that is not the only information we could gain."

Sam snapped his finger once again and an image of a person is shown.

"I am sure, you know who this is Icarus." Sam said and Icarus nodded.

"A current grade 3 member of Noble league. He is the heir of one of the clans that is directly under the Zeus Realm. They contribute a lot of money to the Academy in the form of donations and they help organize a bunch of Olympian tournaments within their territory.

They also have a lot of graduates over Olympian academies.

His name is Winx, I think."

"Yes, you are absolutely right."

The next moment, a bunch of information appeared beside the image of Winx. The information is detailed. His battle techniques, cultivation techniques, energy flow, flaws in the energy flow. Openings, his stamina, energy usage for each and every one of his moves.

"Everyone who uses the machines in the hub are allowing me free access to their moves and the more time they spend the more knowledge I have about them. The arcade machines, the virtual reality simulations, everything is designed to collect as much information from them as possible.

Sam changed the screen once again and it showed the recording of Winx training in the virtual simulation.

"There are several simulation packs that these people to use to train themselves. But honestly these are just different scenarios that I created to understand how they will react.

As you are all experienced fighters, you should know what you can do with all this information."

The room is silent. No one is answering his question. They are all staring at the screen. Only Ivar is looking at them contently.

Even he had a similar expression when Sam first demonstrated this to him. However, these people are more surprised than him. He is glad that he was much more composed than they are now.

Sam snapped his finger to make the screen disappear and only then did they finally come back to his senses.

"How are you able to do this? How did the elders and Deans didn't find out about this?"

There are people with suspicions, including the Deans and Elders, but they are unable to open my technology, because of the traps I set. If they try to force it, it will be destroyed.

And my methods totally comply with the Academy realm's rules. I am a legitimate business, I am not a shady dealer operating it from under wraps. In fact, a lot of people know that I am collecting information, including the deans and the Elders through the hub.

But they don't know that I am focusing on their weaknesses and they believe that information is being collected by the formation of the simulation rooms and it will stay there.

In short, it is just a big elaborate scam designed to turn them into fools.

I am sure you can use this information to achieve your goal of crippling the Academy realm. The whole point of the academies in this realm is to be teaching grounds for the soldiers created by the gods. To cripple this academy all you have to do is make that purpose meaningless.

They stayed silent for a moment and finally, Icarus was the one who spoke.

"Sam, what you did is amazing, to say the least. It is something none of us would have been able to accomplish. However, it is still not enough assurance. Many people here laid down a great amount of groundwork to achieve their goals.

For them to abandon them and work with you… even with all that you have to offer, they might want some assurance."

"Of course…"

Sam went on to discuss the cooperation and they all signed soul contracts after some time. Once a bunch of contracts are signed, they are now in a proper partnership.

"As the first step of our partnership, let's drag those elders out into the open. Ivar is already working on it, so the rest of you can get in on it. Since Icarus knows about the Olympian realm and will also take charge of this area in the future, it is better if you take over the lead position on this from Ivar. I already prepared a couple of plans regarding this.

The Elders already noticed Icarus' disappearance and if you are not spotted by them, they will proceed with the drastic measures. I already thought they would have made a move on Ivar by now, but they didn't.

I think we need to give an additional push. I recommend, letting them know that Ivar was the reason for Icarus' disappearance."

After discussing a few details, Sam left the room. The rest of them all disguised themselves and left one after the other.

While they were leaving, Sam asked Ivar and Lan for a personal favor.

"In the Norse realm and Xia realm, you will find two people. Donner in Thor Academy and Akhil in Sun Wukong's Academy. If you don't mind, can you guys give them a message for me?"

The both of them agreed naturally and Sam sent the message that he wanted to send.

Since the announcement for the Pseudo hell and pocket dimensions was made, he is sure these two are already here.

So, he has to give them the warnings regarding the Hub.
