“Who are you?” She asked sharply, instantly defensive. “Identify yourself.”

But he didn’t answer. His gaze shifted her cheek and Leah covered it quickly, embarrassed. She didn’t want anyone to see her looking so disgraceful. But the man had been watching her for some time, and he slowly pulled down the hood of his robe to reveal golden eyes.

“Your husband.”
