“Why? Surprised?” Xie Lianzhen scooted closer to her. “It’s okay, I’m all yours. You can stare at me as much as you want….aiya!”

Lu Mingshu shoved him away roughly. “No direct contact with the opposite sex until marriage.” She said monotonously.

“Little boo caught it.” He said and looked over at little boo. “Your bronze man is extremely helpful. He does whatever I say and can fetch water, catch a chicken and turn into a pot for cooking! It can even wash itself! This is my first time seeing a pot which can hunt its own ingredients and wash itself after….”

Lu Mingshu side-eyed him. ~Little boo is the grandmaster’s masterpiece, yet in his eyes, it’s just a pot that can wash itself?~

“Ahem” Xie Lianzhen coughed and smiled. “It tastes good because of my skills.”

Lu Mingshu glanced at him. “You’re experienced in cooking?”

“Nope.” Xie Lianzhen answered. “When would I have cooked before? But I did help senior brother Wei light the fire when he brought back wild chicken to barbeque.” He smiled proudly and patted his own shoulder. “I am good, right? I did so well despite it’s my first time cooking. I can make you more if you want. I can fight, cook, and I am extremely good-looking. The perfect husband….”

Xie Lianzhen continued to sell himself, but Lu Mingshu was no longer listening to him. She occupied her mind with other thoughts.

After finishing the soup, Lu Mingshu felt better and rested for a short moment. She then called little boo. “Little boo, go and clean up. Let’s continue to explore.”

“Ka, okay, master.” little boo eyes blinked. It then waddled out of the hole slowly with the leftover soup inside it.

“You should rest more, since you are still seriously injured.” Lu Mingshu looked over at him.

“Oh no, how can I let you do all the work while I rest? That’s unfair to you.” Xie Lianzhen insisted. ~How rarely do I get a chance to spend time with her alone? And it’s finally my turn, not that idiot.~

“Whatever, please don’t faint or die along the way.” Lu Mingshu rolled her eyes and shrugged.

“Nah, I’m very strong!”

~No matter how painful it is, I will persevere. I must show that I’m capable, or she will think that only the idiot is useful and I’m a good for nothing!~

But Lu Mingshu didn’t even bother to glance at him as she continued walking to the place she went the day before.

It was a silent journey, but it was better than being alone, and Lu Mingshu felt more at ease with a companion.

“Can you tell what formation this is?”

Xie Lianzhen observed it for a moment and turned back to her. “This spell formation is extremely complicated. There are many connections and it might be made to complement other spell formations.

Furthermore, the formations seems concentrated with energy, as if it’s the centre of a giant formation.”

Lu Mingshu stared at him and furrowed her brows.

As for the lake of heart’s island, it had a special geographical position, which was a good place to grow medicines and herbs. And there were Yuan Crystals in the foggy wood.

“A stand alone space to rear beasts and grow resources…?” ~There are many similar places in other worlds!~ “But a stand-alone space requires a motor to drive it….”

“That’s why this exists.” Xie Lianzhen raised his eyebrows.
