Old Madam Mu was so consumed in rage that she felt a little faint, and her eyes darkened when she said, “Fine! Let’s see how it goes!”

Mu Siyin smirked arrogantly and nodded her head. “Let’s see how it goes.”

Upon saying so, she headed upstairs in quick strides.

Mu Siyin’s cockiness made Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu want to yell in frustration.

How low would Mu Siyin go?

“Mom, I told you her intentions were never good! She even fooled us with those unknown investors!”

Old Madam Mu’s face was glum from Mu Siyin’s revelation.

Although she was old, everyone in the Mu family still treated her with admiration and respect.

This was not the case for Mu Siyin. Not only was she not respectful, but she even had the balls to trick them too!

If the investors she talked about failed to save Mu Corporation from this crisis, Old Madam Mu would never let Mu Siyin off the hook!

“Let time take its course. I want to know who exactly is the person that she persuaded!”

With a long face, Mu Heyuan stood up from the sofa and eyed the others with a frown. He said, “There’s some work I need to do at the company. I’ll be heading off first.”

Old Madam Mu suddenly added, “Oh right. Do you know what’s going on with Gu Corporation?”

Gu Corporation had been doing very well all these years. It was almost unbelievable that something like this would befall their company.

This made Old Madam Mu suspect if there was someone behind this financial crisis.

Mu Heyuan shook his head. “Gu Corporation isn’t responding to any inquiries. I’m confused as well.”

“Alright. You should head to work now.”

Once Mu Heyuan left, the Old Madam headed back to her room.

The only ones in the living room were now Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu.

Mu Xingyu’s affair with Yifan was still a heated topic, and she wanted to avoid any questions on their relationship. Hence, she remained at home instead of going to the company.

After everyone had left, Mu Xingyu could not resist asking Li Tongzhi, “Do you think the investors have anything to do with the man in the picture, Mom?”

Although they did not manage to see the man’s face, the luxurious car next to him was definitely eye-catching. It was a limited edition car which was not something anyone could own.

Li Tongzhi frowned and shook her head. “It’s hard to say. I guess we can always find out when we sign the contract with the other party. All that aside, Mu Siyin is such a lucky girl! I wonder how she met a man like that.”

If one wanted to find out a man’s status, one would usually look at the type of car he drove.

Upon hearing this, Mu Xingyu firmly clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. “I don’t believe that she didn’t have sex that night!”

After all, Mu Xingyu was the one who had drugged Mu Siyin’s wine on her birthday. She knew how powerful the substance was. Once the effects kicked in, she would be consumed by her sexual desires and have to get another man to relieve her. At worst, it would lead to her death, but even the best case would leave her crippled.

However, Mu Siyin managed to get away in between, so Mu Xingyu could not find any evidence of her misconduct.

Li Tongzhi gave it a thought and said, “Xingyu, do you think that night, Mu Siyin had sex with the guy in the picture?”

It made perfect sense if he became her new boyfriend that way.

Upon hearing this, Mu Xingyu clenched her jaw and said, “No way! He definitely isn’t the man she had sex with that night!”

Mu Xingyu had her reservations, but she would never accept this fact no matter what.
