Shi Beiyu smiled helplessly as he sat on the side of the bed and looked at her. “I’m just afraid that I might hurt you. Your body is too weak now.”

Upon hearing that, Mu Siyin frowned. “What disease did I get?”

Shi Beiyu gave it a thought. Then, he looked at her and comforted her softly. “Hey, don’t overthink it. You don’t have a disease. Your body is just too weak, and it needs some rest.”

Mu Siyin did not believe him at all, and she stared at him in anger.

Fine. She could just do a body checkup at the hospital if he refused to tell her. All she wanted was to find out what was wrong with her body.

She snorted. Not wanting to say another word to him, she pulled the blanket and turned over to sleep.

‘I must look for Master Hu tomorrow and try to exorcise Mu Siyun as soon as possible.’

Mu Siyin woke up very early the next morning as she was still angry.

After breakfast, Shi Beiyu sent Mu Siyin off at the Mu Corporation. Then, he had Yan Ze handle some work back at the company before he went to look for Master Hu with Shi Ran.

Master Hu had been guarding the Land Temple for years. When Shi Beiyu and Shi Ran arrived, he was dressed in his usual tangzhuang, sitting by the chessboard playing chess.

He did not lift his head at the noise. Instead, he moved the chess pieces around and chuckled. “You’re here just in time, little fella. Hurry up and come over. Playing chess alone has been plain boring ever since I played a few games with you.”

Shi Beiyu came forward and sat directly opposite Master Hu with a smile. “Please answer my question first, so I have the right mind to play chess with you, sir.”

Master Hu snorted. He then lifted his old face to look at him and said, “Haven’t I made it clear? You can do whatever you want with your little girlfriend. Nothing will go wrong.”

A little embarrassed, Shi Beiyu coughed softly before saying, “But I still want to know. When will she leave?”

Master Hu stared at him and sighed with a frown. “Once… she has dealt with her grievances, I can perform a rite and help her move on. Everything has its orders. There is no point in rushing anyway.”
