Chapter 255: Don’t Stare at Another Man

Mu Siyin could not believe that Leng Jiuchen would ask her for Xiang Qiuci’s name.

She was stunned.

Um… Could it be that Leng Jiuchen had his eyes on Qiu Ci?

Leng Jiuchen stared at her persistently. “Tell me.”

If any other man asked her the same question, it would most likely mean the man had fallen for the girl and was now looking for means to approach her.

However, Mu Siyin felt that Leng Jiuchen sounded like he rightfully deserved to know.

Since he asked, she was obliged to answer.

“Her name is Qiuci. Xiang Qiuci.”

Leng Jiuchen’s eyes darkened again. Even Shi Beiyu looked at Mu Siyin bewilderedly.

Mu Siyin looked at Leng Jiuchen, who seemed slightly distracted. “What are you up to?”

All of a sudden, Leng Jiuchen smiled. Even though it was just a faint smile, Mu Siyin was still stunned to see a smile on such a cold face. However, her amazement was short-lived.

She proceeded to give him a hard stare. “What are you up to? You’re not interested in Qiuci, right?”

Leng Jiuchen replied, “I was just asking.”

Mu Siyin frowned, unconvinced at his reply. He obviously had impure motives!

Noting how Mu Siyin was staring at Leng Jiuchen, Shi Beiyu raised his hand to block her line of vision. “Hey, don’t stare at another man.”

Mu Siyin was speechless.

There were three parts to the performance tonight. The opening was done by Xiang Qiuci, the second part was a longer narrative ballet, and the last part was also a narrative piece with Xiang Qiuci as the protagonist.

When Xiang Qiuci appeared on stage once more, Mu Siyin realized that Leng Jiuchen, who had been inattentive before, instantly glued his eyes to Quici and followed her every move.

Suddenly, Leng Jiuchen fished out his phone and started texting.

She quickly moved her body towards Shi Beiyu to see what Leng Jiuchen was trying to do. However, people who didn’t know the situation would probably think that she was throwing herself into Shi Beiyu’s arms.

Shi Beiyu then pulled her into his arms, deliberately blocking her sight. He said amusingly, “Do you want me to hold you?”

Annoyed, Mu Siyin whispered in his ear, “I think your brother might have fallen for my friend.”

Shi Beiyu laughed. “How do you know that?”

“From the look in his eyes.”

“Hey, aren’t we here to watch her performance? That is just admiration and nothing else.”

Mu Siyin paused. Was it just admiration?

Lu Jingchen’s eyes noticeably brightened when he saw Xiang Qiuci on stage.

He shook his head from time to time and exclaimed in admiration, “Wonderful! Qiu Ci is really the best!”

Ji Yang would roll her eyes at his words and then swear quietly. ‘Pervert!’

As if he had felt Ji Yang’s hostility, Lu Jingchen turned towards her with a serious expression. “Hey, let me give you a suggestion. Since you have such a beautiful friend, you should definitely get some pointers from her. As for your appearance, I don’t think much can be done since you’re born ugly.”

Ji Yang glared at him. “Lu! Are you asking for a beating?”

Despite that, Lu Jingchen replied calmly, “Don’t get angry just yet. Listen to me. You can definitely benefit from some of her elegance and sense of fashion. And, of course, the hair! If you have longer hair, you might seem more feminine.”

Ji Yang’s fingers tightened around the armrest in an attempt to control herself. If they were not in the hall, she would have given him a good beating for sure.

Lu Jingchen blinked at her reaction before lifting his arms to surrender. “Whatever. Forget I said anything.”

He then moved his body towards the other side, away from Ji Yang. He was actually afraid that she would suddenly lose her cool and punch his handsome face.
