Chapter 247: Another Bestie?

At 6:00 p.m., Mu Siyin was just looking through the information when Shi Beiyu suddenly sent her a message.

[What time do you get off tonight?]

Mu Siyin looked at the message and frowned as she thought about it. It was still too early to submit a design draft, and everyone in the office was monitoring her. In order to avoid creating a fuss, she decided that it would be better for her to continue working on her design back at his study.

Instead of feeling angry, Mu Siyin smiled. “Director, don’t worry. I’m still anticipating the promotion that you’ll be giving me.”

Director Wang snorted. “Anticipating is nothing. You have to show that you are capable!”

“Yes, I understand.”

Mu Siyin’s smile frustrated Director Wang so much that the latter directly walked into the office with her cup of coffee, without wanting to say another word.

Mu Siyin went downstairs and exited the company’s main door, where she saw Shi Beiyu’s car parked on the side of the road.

Mu Siyin pursed her lips and snorted softly. “If it weren’t because of our chief designer. Today, she came to me and tried to brainwash me to back down from the opportunity. She’s probably afraid that I will ask you for help and take over her position.”

Shi Beiyu squinted his eyes. “That’s beyond my ability.”

“That’s why I’ve given it some thought, and I think it will be better that I continue working on my design back at home. I’ll pretend to work in the office. Otherwise, I’m afraid they will come up with some other tricks before the submission date.”

Shi Beiyu curled his lips and habitually stroked her long hair. He nodded gently. “Smart.”
