It was a photo of Shi Beiyu and his father.

His appearance had always been similar to his father’s, and the resemblance grew even more with age.

Mu Siyin subconsciously walked over and stared at the photograph. “You look so much like your father.”

Shi Beiyu did not want Mu Siyin to press on what happened twelve years ago, so he sat down in front of his desk and pulled her onto his lap.

“Let us start work.”

Mu Siyin’s cheeks reddened as she muttered, “I don’t think anyone works like this.”

Shi Beiyu smirked. “Why not?”

Mu Siyin lowered her voice. “What if someone comes in and sees us?”

“Don’t worry. No one will—”

Before Shi Beiyu could finish his sentence, the door was pushed open abruptly.

Both of them were stunned. When Uncle Zhong at the door saw the scene before him, he shrieked and turned around immediately. He exclaimed in bitterness, “My old eyes are going to be blinded by you both.”

Mu Siyin blushed as she quickly stood up from Shi Beiyu’s lap. She then stood aside, feeling extremely embarrassed.

Shi Beiyu was obviously displeased. “Who said you could come in without knocking first?”

Uncle Zhong turned around and said boldly, “How would I know that Little Siyin is here too?”

Mu Siyin coughed lightly and said in embarrassment, “I-I am here because he said he would help me look up some information.”

Uncle Zhong gave them both a meaningful look. “I see. You both should carry on. I shall not bother you both any longer.”

He then turned around and was ready to leave.

However, Shi Beiyu stopped him frustratedly. “What do you want?”

Uncle Zhong heard Shi Beiyu’s question and raised his hand to smack his own head. “I am here to ask you about tomorrow’s breakfast! You mentioned that you wanted breakfast earlier tomorrow. How much earlier do you want it?”

Shi Beiyu realized that this old man knew exactly how to walk in on him. “An hour earlier will do.”

Uncle Zhong smiled and nodded. “Alright, I will leave now.”

When the door of the study room closed once again, Shi Beiyu pulled Mu Siyin back into his arms. She was speechless.

“Actually, I can sit on the chair.”

Shi Beiyu replied lazily, “The chair is probably too hard. How can it be more comfortable than my lap?”

Mu SIyin blushed. “You are such a pervert!”

“Hey, I am far from being a pervert.”

Mu Siyin fell silent at his words.

In the meantime, Shi Beiyu found Mrs. Laura’s latest flagship clothing release for Mu Siyin’s reference.

“You can pick something among these clothes to match your design with. You might get more inspiration that way.”

Mu Siyin frowned and nodded. “Today, we handed three drafts to her, and she was unsatisfied with all of them. She said that they were not innovative at all.”

Shi Beiyu raised his eyebrow. “What material did they use?”

Mu Siyin replied, “Mostly diamonds.”

Shi Beiyu nodded in understanding. “What do you think of this season’s clothing style?”

“It looks vintage, and they give off an elegant, noble vibe.”
