Director Wang crossed her arms and snorted. “This order is worth millions. If you mess it up, you should be well aware of the consequences.”

Mu Siyin chuckled. “I am just a fresh graduate. What can I be aware of?”

Director Wang thought that Mu Siyin had finally grown afraid, so she said arrogantly, “If you mess this order up, then… quit immediately!”

Mu Siyin raised her eyebrow. “And if I don’t mess it up?”

Director Wang laughed sarcastically. “You’re quite confident in yourself.”

Mu Siyin smiled as she replied, “I am actually not that confident.”

Director Wang said, “If nothing goes wrong with the order, I promise to promote you and give you a raise.”

Mu Siyin blinked in response. “What kind of promotion are you talking about?”

Everyone in the room sneered when she asked such a whimsical question. Did she really see herself as a genius?

Director Wang laughed tauntingly. “If you can settle this million-dollar order, I will immediately promote you as the vice director. How does that sound?”

At Director Wang’s reply, the room went into an uproar.

It was a known fact that Director Wang had always been afraid that someone would replace her, so she deliberately left the position of vice president empty. Yet, here she was, promising Mu Siyin that position now?

Surprised, Mu Siyin replied, “Really?”

Director Wang nodded as she snorted. “Of course. I am a woman of my words. Moreover, you have everyone in this office as witnesses. I can’t possibly go back on my words, can I?”

Mu Siyin agreed enthusiastically. “Alright! We have a deal.”

Everyone was speechless when they heard Mu Siyin’s agreement.

She really was fearless to take on such an important order.

Was it because the company belonged to her family, so she had no fear or whatsoever?

Director Wang thought that Mu Siyin would at least hesitate or reconsider. However, she did not expect the latter to agree so quickly.

“Good. Everyone here is watching. Is this your final decision?”

Director Wang had long wanted Mu Siyin out. If she could use this as an opportunity to make her quit, it would be great.

She could always reassign Mrs. Laura’s order to someone else. She never expected much from Mu Siyin anyway.

Of course, Mu Siyin knew about Director Wang’s motive, but this was a great opportunity that she could not let pass.

“Yes, I have made my decision. Can I ask for all the details and related documents regarding Mrs. Laura’s order? I need to do some homework.”

Director Wang laughed. “Sure. Give me some time.”

Then, she scoffed and walked off.

In view that Director Wang had given such an important order to Mu Siyin, the chief designer was furious. “Director, you just gave my order to a fresh graduate. What is the meaning of this?”

Director Wang sighed. “Since you can’t meet Mrs. Laura’s requirement, I can only find someone else to give it a go. This will increase our chances of being selected.”

“Oh right, by the way, if you think Mu Siyin is incompetent, you can always join in. I will promote anyone who can satisfy Mrs. Laura, but if anyone messes it up… ”

The chief designer and the other two designers immediately understood her words.

This order was given to Mu Siyin, but it was impossible for her to complete it in the first place. If they got themselves involved at this moment…
