Chapter 142: Would She… Leave Him?

Shi Beiyu had cluttered up a lot of work these past few days. As he could not find time to leave his desk, he got his bodyguard to pick Mu Siyin up.

Just as he was flipping through some files, his phone next to his laptop suddenly buzzed.

He instinctively looked down at it. His bottomless eyes lit up like crystals the moment he saw that it was Mu Siyin.

He thought that his bodyguard had brought Mu Siyin back to the villa. That was why she was calling to ask when he was returning.

As soon as Shi Beiyu answered the call happily, Mu Siyin’s boorish voice came through from the other end. “I’ve made plans with Yangyang tonight, Shi Beiyu. I can’t go to the villa.”

His face instantly darkened like coal.

“Why are you hanging out with her again?”

Shi Beiyu suddenly wanted Mu Siyin to end her friendship with Ji Yang.

Mu Siyin said in a low voice, “I got her demoted to an anti-prostitution officer. I have to console her, right?”

Shi Beiyu was at a loss for words. He could only say, “Get my bodyguard to send you there. After that, he’ll send you back to the villa.”

Mu Siyin panicked when she heard this. “I can’t.”

“Why not?”

Mu Siyin said with a frown, “I… I need to go back to the Mu family tonight. I need to get some documents for work.”

Shi Beiyu did not say anything after that.

Thinking that he was mad, Mu Siyin said gently, “Don’t be mad. I’ll go to the villa tomorrow night, okay?”

She wanted to go back and find out about what happened 12 years ago.

“You don’t have to go back and ask the Mu family about the car accident. They don’t know much about it. In fact, they don’t even know that we caused the accident.”

Mu Siyin remained quiet for a while before she softly said, “Okay. I understand. Don’t worry. I’ll go meet with Yangyang now.”

Shi Beiyu nodded his head helplessly. “Okay.”

After ending the phone call, Shi Beiyu hung his head low and lifted his hand to pinch his forehead tightly. An inexplicable fear crept up in his heart.

If Mu Siyin learned of everything in the past, would she… leave him?

Mu Siyin got the photocopy of a bodyguard to send her to her destination. She then waved her hand and ushered him away. “Go back. Don’t worry about me.”

Upon saying so, she turned around and ran towards the restaurant.

Both Mu Siyin and Ji Yang loved having barbecues. However, it was not a cheap meal. That was why they only ate it once in a while, to satisfy their cravings.

Once Mu Siyin found the private room that Ji Yang had booked, she opened the door. Dressed in a black suit, Ji Yang sat with her legs crossed as she scrolled through her phone, looking extremely attractive.

Ji Yang immediately put down her phone when she noticed Mu Siyin’s arrival and uncrossed her legs. She looked at her friend, to whom she grumbled, “You made me for 20 minutes again, Yinyin!”

Mu Siyin shut the door and grinned as she placed her palms together. Then, she walked towards Ji Yang. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! There was some traffic on the way here.”
