Di Bian thought he must have misread it, how could his eldest son, his first born, show disgust against him.

He rubbed his eyes and took a look again, Di Qiuhe looked normal, he forced a smile and smiled at Qiuhe, “How are you, my son?”

Di Bian was choked, he almost failed to keep his fake smile, then he sighed and looked at Di Qiuhe with concern, “Qiuhe, how come you are a changed person now, is this related to your grandpa?”

Di Bian then looked around the living room, he shook his head seeing the snacks and kettles He Bai bought for Di Qiuhe, then he said this using a condescending tone, “I know it, if your grandpa is genuine with you, how come he doesn’t invite you to live at his, how come you are living here? The building management here is not great, and you would for sure have some privacy issues… Qiuhe, come home with me, I have always kept your room for you, wouldn’t it be nice celebrating new year and Spring Festival with your father at your own home? I’m worried about you, you are here all by yourself, who’s gonna take care of you?”

Di Qiuhe felt nauseous listening to Di Bian, how dare he disapproved the snacks and kettle puppy got for him. He sneered, “Yeah, the building management is doing their job poorly.”

Di Bian was overjoyed hearing that, he was about to sow more discord when he heard Di Qiuhe said, “Look at them letting you in.” Di Qiuhe was sitting cross-legged, with his chin up and eyes looking down, he then continued, “I guess you are about to share you opinion on how my house is poorly laid out? Of course this place is well decorated, I do not need your opinion.” Di Qiuhe said in a sarcastic tone, then he touched the woven blanket on the sofa, recalled how his puppy snuggled on the sofa, his voice turned soft, “This place is decorated by a person who truly loves me, he made this place my home.”

He then looked at Di Bian, “While your house, is merely a place I want to get rid of from my memory, thanks to you and Qin Li, it’s a place full of cold and dark memories for me.”

Seeing Di Qiuhe’s stare, Di Bian could not help but stepped back, his heart was racing, he felt like Di Qiuhe had seen him through.
