Perfume?

He Bai was still in a daze, looking at the man with angry eyes, with confusion, he frowned slowly. “Qiuhe?”

Di Qiuhe ignored him with a poker face, stretched out his hand to take off the scarf around his neck and stuffed it into the bag aside, then straightened up and took off his scarf and wrapped it around him, nodded to the driver in the front seat and took him out of the car, half-holding and half-pulling.

The cold wind blew on the winter night, He Bai was completely awake then, he watched Yi Jie’s car driving away further and further and turned to look at the handsome man in thin clothes.

“Qiuhe?” He turned back, stretching out his hand to touch the other party’s face again.

Di Qiuhe did not move, looking at him, frowning and saying nothing.

The skin was real, the familiar smell was real, and the pinprick cold was real when the night wind blew. He Bai’s fingers moved, covering the other party’s ears which were cold in the wind, his chin rubbed the soft scarf with Qiuhe’s temperature, his dimples appeared slowly, “Are you back? Are you really back?”

The anger and anxiety faded like a flood after seeing puppy’s smile, Di Qiuhe looked at He Bai’s brightening eyes and felt the warm palm covering his ears. His frowning brows loosened, but he wrinkled up again. He put down his backpack and other things, stretched out his hand and pulled him into his arms, hugged him hard, rubbed his side face, and gnashed in his ear and said, “Don’t think that you act all cute, I’ll let go of the issue of you skipping classes. You are too disobedient, Pup, running away without me paying attention to you for one sec! If the driver hadn’t answered the phone for you, I almost thought you were kidnapped by criminals after sending me a text message! How can you sleep there? What if the driver is an evildoer?”

It turned out that he was indeed a lucky one that he got his puppy.

“I came back this afternoon.” He raised his hand and rubbed the soft hair on the back of the other’s head, gathered all his emotions and gentleness was rippling in his eyes, he asked softly, “After filming, I can stay for a long time. I didn’t call you to pick me up when I thought you had a class this afternoon.”

Only when some passing students looked at them curiously did He Bai realize that the place where they hugged was inappropriate. He clapped Di Qiuhe on the back and motioned for him to release each other. He tilted his head back slightly and asked, “Have you eaten?”

Di Qiuhe noticed the passers-by too, he frowned, leaning sightly over so no one could see He Bai, then released him, groomed his tangled hair, didn’t say anything.

He Bai frowned then, “You have been waiting for me from the afternoon? Haven’t eaten anything?”

Di Qiuhe raised his hand and poked him between the eyebrows, diverting the subject. “Don’t frown, not cute.”

“How dare you.” He Bai pulled down his hand, only to find his fingers were freezing cold, looking at his thin clothes, his brows knitted tighter. He bent down to lift the bag on the ground, found his scarf inside, and put it on around his neck with a straight face.

Disgusted as Di Qiuhe was, he stretched out his hand and tried to pull, “I don’t want this. There’s woman’s perfume on it.”

“No, that’s my perfume!” He Bai took down his hand again, helped him to wrap up the scarf carefully, then lifted the bag on the ground, caught hold of his arm to the restaurant street outside the school. He explained as he walked, “I took pictures of Yi Jie from Bai Xiu today. She wanted to make perfume after lunch. I have to follow her. The one you smell is what I randomly mixed with the perfumer when I was bored, it accidentally spilled on the scarf when bottling. Your damn nose, it’s so mild, and you smelt it.”

After hearing the explanation, Di Qiuhe finally eliminated the jealousy in his heart. He then turned his scarf-pulling hand into a scarf-protecting one, and bowed his head to sniff. He laughed, “Pup you are so amazing that you even know the art of perfume making.”

He Bai snorted with a smile, “Hmmm, is that so? I don’t know which guy that was just now, his hair stands up when smells it.”

“Of course it’s the guy who misses you like crazy.” Di Qiuhe glued himself to Bai and gave a shameless answer.

He Bai rolled his eyes, but did not refute him. He took him to the hotpot restaurant where he often went with roommates for dinner like a disobedient child and asked for a private room.

Before the hotpot, he ordered a bowl of porridge to feed Di Qiuhe’s belly, then took off his scarf and coat, rolled his sleeves, stood up to pour food into the light soup, said, “Non-spicy only! This is a late dinner, and certainly you didn’t eat well at lunch, the plane meal, so no spicy food for dinner. When you adapt in a couple of days, I’ll take you to delicious food.”

Di Qiuhe, holding the porridge bowl, just looked at him, the smile on his face seemed somewhat like a fool’s.

“What are you giggling at, dummy.” He Bai was disconcerted by him, reached for the scarf around his neck. “They have a heater in the room. Why are you wearing that scarf? Aren’t you hot?”

Di Qiuhe let him take off the scarf obediently, then took it and stuffed it into his bag, rightfully taking it for himself.

“You.” He Bai found his behavior funny, he turned around and took out a small delicate bottle from his bag and put it into his hand. He said, “Take it if you like. Anyway, I don’t like perfume. Take it for fun.”

The bottle was tiny indeed, about the size of two fingers, long and thin, felt comfortable in hand. Di Qiuhe sprayed it, looked up at him, suddenly he got up to lean over and hugged him again.
