Taking Over The Project

The higher-ups looked at each other with a tacit understanding, and then looked at Yin Xun with even more disdain.

However, since the Chairman of the Board, Yin Cheng, was here, no one objected even though they were not convinced.

Yin Xun welcomed everyone’s gazes and did not show any fear.

She smiled faintly and said in a calm tone, “Everyone here is the backbone of the company and is dedicated to the development of the company. In addition, this is a big project and it is very important for the development of the company, so it is normal for the seniors to doubt me.”

Yin Xun paused and continued with a smile, “Everyone must think that I’m using my status to mess around, but that’s not the case. This project is also very important to me. I promise that I’ll complete it 100%. Of course, I’ll have to rely on you seniors to take care of me during this period.”

Yin Xun’s words were neither haughty nor submissive. However, no matter how nicely she put it, the most important thing in business was the results. Yin Xun did not intend to change others’ opinion of her with just a few words, but she still had to be polite.

If she failed in the end, this group of people would definitely tell her to get lost without any hesitation.

After the meeting ended, Yin Cheng sighed. “I asked you to take on a small project to practice, and you want such a big project the moment you arrive. Can you handle it?”

Even Yin Cheng was worried that Yin Xun might have bitten off more than she could chew.

Yin Xun did not say anything else and only said, “If there’s a problem, I’ll just resign. I definitely won’t make things difficult for you.”

Yin Cheng anxiously slammed the table. “Did I say that? I’m just afraid that you might make a mistake. You don’t know how much a project leader has to do! Sigh, that’s youth!”

After leaving Yin Cheng’s office, Yin Xun planned to go to the construction site to take a look. After all, the direction of the story she knew was only from the novel. She still needed to figure out how it would turn out.

After returning to her office, Yin Xun did not waste a single second. First, she organized the information about “Donggang modern city” that she had found yesterday. As for the remaining information about Si Fan, she moved it to another folder. She would think about it when she had time.

After she was done, Yin Xun got up and walked out. She had just placed her hand on the door handle when her phone suddenly rang.

It was an unfamiliar number on the screen. Yin Xun did not think much about it. To her now, other than the few members of the Yin family, anyone else who called her was a stranger. The only difference was whether there was a saved number.

“Miss Yin Xun, I heard that you’re in charge of the Donggang modern city project. I think you’re not familiar with it since you’ve just taken over. Is there anything I can help you with?” Before Yin Xun could speak, Si Fan’s voice was already heard from the other end of the phone.

Even though he had disguised himself very well, Yin Xun could still hear the impatience in his tone.

Yin Xun raised her eyebrows. She did not expect Si Fan to get the news so quickly. It seemed like he was more “concerned” about the Yin family than she thought. She did not need to think to know that Yin Mo must have given him her phone number.

“Of course, I was just worried that I didn’t know anything. It’s great to have someone to help me.” Yin Xun replied with a fake smile. She knew that although Si Fan said that he wanted to help her, she knew all too well what he was thinking in his heart.

It just so happened that Yin Xun also needed Si Fan’s help. She wanted to know which steps Si Fan had already completed.

The two of them agreed on a time to meet, and when Yin Xun arrived, she just happened to see Si Fan and Yin Mo sticking together sweetly.

Perhaps it was because she had read novels before, but Yin Xun could see the hypocritical impatience in Si Fan’s eyes at a glance, but Yin Mo was smiling sweetly like an idiot.

Yin Xun crossed her arms and stood still. She only looked at the two of them quietly. Si Fan saw her first and greeted her. “Miss Yin Xun, you’ve arrived so quickly. It seems like it’s a good thing I came a little earlier. Otherwise, I would have made you wait for me.”

“Sister, I had free time. I heard Si Fan said he wanted to come over and help you, so I followed him.” She did not know if Yin Mo was shy or a little afraid of her, but Yin Mo’s head was half lowered and she did not look at Yin Xun’s eyes.

Seeing her like this, Yin Xun was extremely disdainful in her heart. She was too preoccupied to pay attention to her. It was more important to get down to business. She gave a perfunctory “mm” and walked towards the construction site.

If she did not guess wrong, Si Fan had brought Yin Mo over on purpose. If he never wanted her here, he could just have not told her where he was going. Now, he brought her over because he was afraid that she would make things difficult for him and wanted Yin Mo to cover for him.
