41 Can’t find Yin Mo

Could it be that Yin Mo had really been kidnapped? Judging from Yin Mo’s voice just now, it did not seem to be fake.

While Yin Xun was trying to figure out the truth of the matter, she suddenly received a text message on her phone. It was from the kidnapper—there was an address written clearly on it.

Yin Xun was speechless. She wondered if the kidnapper was honest enough to send her the detailed address just like that. He did not even seem afraid that she would call the police.

It appeared as though the other party was certain that she would go to save Yin Mo alone.

Yin Xun recalled the original plot. Before Si Fan seized the Yin family’s assets, Yin Mo had always been safe and had never encountered such a predicament.

Could the plot have changed because of her transmigration?

However, Yin Xun quickly rejected this idea. Putting aside the duration she had been in this world, the things she had done here were all trivial matters. There was no way her actions could have affected the development of the plot, at least not for now.

With that being the case, there was only one answer.

Yin Xun changed into a casual outfit and put on a pair of comfortable sports shoes. Just as she was about to leave, her phone rang again.

She sighed and whipped it out. It was Wu Li.

As soon as she picked up the call, Wu Li’s anxious voice came through.

“Ah Xun, where’s your sister? Didn’t you go to a party with her yesterday? Where is she now? Why can’t I get through to her phone?” Wu Li sounded like she was about to cry. Her voice was fraught with worry.

“Mother, don’t be anxious. Speak slowly. When did you start being unable to contact Yin Mo?” Even though Yin Xun knew where Yin Mo was, she could not tell Wu Li directly.

Wu Li loved her daughter dearly and was already beside herself with worry when she could not contact Yin Mo. If she learned that Yin Mo had been kidnapped, she would lose her mind.

Upon hearing Yin Xun’s question, Wu Li sobbed and said, “We were still in contact last night, and she told me that she would come home to stay the night. I went to bed very early yesterday. When I woke up, I realized that not only had she not returned, but I couldn’t even get through to her phone! It’s all my fault. If only I hadn’t been sleeping last night…”

“Did you ask Si Fan? She was with Si Fan yesterday. Logically speaking, Si Fan should have been the one to send her home.” Yin Xun continued asking questions as she walked toward the garage.

Wu Li replied, “I’ve looked for Si Fan. But his phone seems to be switched off. I can’t get through to him either. Do you think that something happened to them?”

Si Fan was such a cunning man. How could something happen to him out of nowhere? It was more likely that he was using Yin Mo to scheme against others.

Yin Xun cursed in her heart but did not voice her thoughts aloud.

Seeing that Wu Li was incredibly anxious, she comforted her patiently, “Don’t worry, Mom. I’m sure they’ll be fine. They must have gone out to play again and forgotten to tell you. I’ll go find them. I promise to bring them back safely.”

“Ah Xun, then I’ll leave it to you. You have to be careful too. If you can’t handle it yourself, you can ask your father and brother for help. Don’t overexert yourself. I don’t want to see you get hurt.” After hearing Yin Xun’s comforting words, Wu Li suddenly felt more at ease.

She did not know what was going on, but she had an instinctive trust in her eldest daughter. It was as though whenever Yin Xun said that she could do something, things would never go wrong.

Yin Xun consoled Wu Li a little more before hanging up.

Her mother was a kind person in every aspect, but she doted on her child too much and could not bear to scold her. Even if her child made a mistake, she would still defend her. If her child was sick or injured, she would want to suffer twice the pain herself.

Perhaps, Yin Mo’s personality was the result of Wu Li’s spoiling.

Yin Xun stepped on the accelerator and drove the car out of his garage. When she passed the gates of the villa next door, she spotted Fang Yao, who had just come out of the house.

“Morning. Have you eaten?” The moment Yin Xun saw Fang Yao, her eyes lit up and she quickly greeted him.

This man was a big shot, and she could not waste any opportunity to get close to him.

“Is it still early? I’ve had breakfast, though I haven’t had lunch,” Fang Yao replied indifferently.

“Okay, good afternoon, then. Are you heading out? Has your car been fixed? Do you want me to take you there?” Yin Xun saw that Fang Yao was dressed neatly and looked like he was about to go out, which was why she made this offer to him.

She was very mindful of her relationship with the neighbors. Furthermore, she needed Fang Yao’s help. She could not let this big shot remain a mere stranger to her.
