Chapter 130: Future

In the morning.

As the room door was slowly pushed open, Jiang Xiao carefully popped his head in, only to see a large figure all huddled up on his tiny bed.

Second Last seemed to be sleeping well and she no longer looked aloof and cold. At this moment, she was like a large cat that was laying down lazily.

The crimson trench coat revealed her alluring figure and her long hair was scattered all over her face, revealing a side to her that was unknown to Jiang Xiao.

With a low ponytail, Second Last walked out of the room and accidentally kicked something, forming a jingling sound.

Second Last lowered her head and saw that there was a toothbrush, a towel, and some soap in the transparent plastic bag.

Second Last raised an eyebrow, leaned over, and picked up the plastic bag before looking around and finding her way to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, she brushed her teeth and entered the kitchen. The fragrant aroma of food wafted up to her nose.

There was a piece of paper on the table and the supposedly graceful Chinese characters were all wriggly and twisted.

“The food is in the rice cooker and there are some side dishes in the refrigerator.”

Second Last cocked her head towards the side and crinkled her nose before finding the rice cooker and opening it.

There was a bowl of soy milk and four stacked pancakes above the steamer in the rice cooker.

She smiled faintly.

Half an hour later, she opened the door and walked out in her slippers, after which she picked up the shoe rack and closed the door. She then walked towards Apartment 702.

Dong! Dong! Dong!

Second Last knocked on the metal gate of Apartment 702.

After waiting patiently for 20 seconds, Second Last knocked again for the third time.

This time, her nose crinkled and she said, “Guardian Of The Night, Light-chaser.”

She seemed to know who the person in the apartment was.

Besides, she seemed to know their identity too, which was why she said those words.

There still wasn’t any sound from the gate of Apartment 702.

Second Last lowered her head and peeked through the peephole before saying, “From now on, he’ll be joining the Guardians Of The Night.”

Second Last then turned around and returned to Apartment 701, picked up her shoes, and entered the apartment before closing the door.

The dark peephole on the door of Apartment 702 seemed to have restored its glow. It was as if the person behind the door had already left and was no longer looking out through the peephole.
