Chapter 157: If It Were All Just An Act

“Mr. Bo, the drug is taking effect now and Miss Luo keeps wailing about being in pain. However, it may not be just physical pain. It could be emotional pain too! She probably thought of the memories that were deep within her and hence, began to behave that way… ” The doctor explained truthfully and politely.

So, Xi Mubai is her deepest memory? She kept shouting and wailing in pain because of Xi Mubai!

Staring at the girl in his arms, Bo Hancheng’s eyes turned gloomy and he held her in his arms tightly. He said coldly, “I want a solution, not the cause of her illness! Give her treatment immediately and stop her pain… ”

Seeing that Bo Hancheng’s aura was austere and was clearly about to fly into a rage, the doctor frantically said, “It’s Miss Luo’s first time getting drugged. It’s normal for her to have such a reaction. The only way to stop her pain is to give her a sedative and allow her to fall into deep sleep… ”

Before Bo Hancheng questioned him again, the doctor continued, “Based on the examination just now, a little bit of sedative will not result in too serious of an effect. Once she wakes up, she may feel weak and possibly even vomit. She’ll feel better after a few days of rest… ”

Bo Hancheng did not agree immediately.

Luo Zheng struggled continuously and began twitching while in his embrace. She had clearly gone hysterical because of the pain. “I’m in so much pain… Brother Mubai… please save me… ”

Seeing this, the doctor seemed to have suddenly thought of something. He added, “If you don’t give her a sedative, the only solution to treat her emotional illness, is to find the person whom Miss Luo is clamoring about, to appease her… ”

“She can dream on!” Bo Hancheng interjected coldly before the doctor could even finish speaking.

He then came to a decision and hollered menacingly, “Give her the sedative! Immediately… ”

The doctor broke out into cold sweat and he hurriedly expressed assent before instructing the nurse to prepare the sedative.

Bo Hancheng lowered his head again and kept his eyes fixed on her. He then mocked in sarcasm, “You’re really cheap eh! While pestering me, you continuously clamored about wanting to see Xi Mubai. Hah… ”

As soon as he finished speaking, he frowned and added indifferently, “You want to see your Brother Mubai? Find him yourself after you come to. Forget about getting me to help you!”

She was calling another man’s name while laying in his arms. He would rather let her die of pain than agree to help her look for Xi Mubai!

At a complete loss, she stared at him, as if she had understood his words. With a tinge of grievance on her face, she pouted and muttered, “You’re so mean… you don’t want to give Brother Mubai to me… You’re so mean… ”

Bo Hancheng frowned and barked, “Luo Zheng, I really feel like strangling you to death!”

The doctor happened to step forth and stabbed Luo Zheng with the syringe of sedative.

Luo Zheng teared up uncontrollably while struggling non-stop and muttering, “Jerk… I hate you… Let go of me… ”

The memories of her previous life seemed to be caging her and putting her in purgatory.

Luo Zheng watched herself chase Xi Mubai continuously in the hallucinations of her previous life… In the end, she did not catch up with him and had no choice but to cry and beg.

The emotional stress and the physical pain destroyed her rationality and pushed her into despair!

With the injection of the sedative, Luo Zheng’s body weakened and she closed her eyes slowly, finally putting an end to the madness.

Bo Hancheng got up and put Luo Zheng down angrily, not wanting to stay any longer. He then turned around and left.

Unfortunately, Bo Hancheng did not have any interest in listening any longer. He shrugged her hand away coldly and strode out of the ward.

Why bother getting so vexed over a girl!?!

Yet, the words that she said left such a deep impression on him.

She said, she would give everything to him as long as she had the means to.

She said, that she would be his partner in bed once she turns 18 years old.

She said that she would be willing to take the risk for him as long as she could see him.

Bo Hancheng left in anger and he did not hear what she said.

Before she slipped into deep slumber, she murmured softly in the ward, “Bo Hancheng… you’re the only one I have… don’t leave me… “
